Chicken wing effect gives opposing fire a good target to shoot at and incapacitate you…not good for close quarter combat or any combat, use a steep angle grip like the magpul k2 And an angled forward grip and you can tuck those wings in for better cover and even use your elbow against your body to stabilize the weapon with less fatigue factor, but like always…you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!

  2. Personally, I do not agree with the "thumb over bore" type of grip. I find that it increases fatigue after a very long period of time. In practice, I do not think any grip is best as long as you are comfortable handling your rifle.

  3. I personally tend to not grip the pistol grip part too strongly. I hold it, but don't really grip. When I grip to strongly with my right hand, I find I pull my shots low and left.
