Our state of the art M4E1 platform starts here, with the M4E1 Upper Receiver. The M4E1 upper receiver is a one-piece design combining the handguard mounting platform with the upper itself. Through superior engineering, we have condensed the parts needed to mount a free-floated handguard to a mere 8 screws. Since the handguard mounting surface and upper are of the same forging, not only is it a stronger system, but we are able to make additional lightening cuts to save weight and allow for more efficient cooling.

Ease of installation – Simply insert your barrel assembly into the M4E1 upper, tighten it using the provided barrel nut and wrench, slide your rail on and tighten the rail screws. Within minutes you have a modular, free-floated rail.

  1. I’m seriously loving the use of setscrews instead of those pesky roll pins. From an engineering perspective I can see how they extend the receiver life by preventing rotational wear. The modular construction is also an excellent advancement, making timing a thing of the past. I just received mine today with a 16” m4 profile barrel and 12” quantum mlok handguard. Absolutely rock solid and the most inexpensive free floated upper I’ve ever owned. I’m now a loyal Aero guy!

  2. I have a quick question for you. So I just finished my first complete upper and lower AR15 build and I used an Aero Precision M4E1 Upper Reciever with a quantum rail. I purchased one of their 18" CMV SPR Profile barrels (I believe ballistic advantage is the OEM), as well as a SS gas tube with a adjustable gas block. After I assembled everything I was experiencing an issue where the gun was constantly short stroking. I adjusted the gas block all the way from fully closed to fully open. Unfortunately, the best it ever got was barely ejecting the casing and not picking up the next round. I tried 55 grain, 62 grain, and 77 grains with all of them yielding the same result. I purchased a new gas tube and a standard gas block and the rifle is still short stroking. I attached the upper onto a carbine length buffer lower and a rifle length buffer lower. Still experiencing the same problem. I have contacted Aero Precision and they have sent me a UPS Delivery label so I can return the barrel for inspection. Could the problem be the gas port wasn't drilled quite right? I just have a fair amount of money wrapped up in the gun and it is irritating that this isn't working. I am just worried that they will send the barrel back to me and say it has no problems, yet the short stroking still continue. Bit longer than a quick question, but thanks anyways.

  3. I got option huh? Do I have the option to use any brand/manufacturer or style I want? That upper is just to get you to buy there brand uppers. I'll pass for a more standard upper that gives me way more real option then that upper gives.

  4. hi Bob I have a question for you I just picked up m4e1 complete Upper from Aero precision I know they don't dimple their barrels or pin their gas blocks have you guys had any issues with they're low profile gas blocks with their barrels more so their gas blocks loosening up? was just curious if you could get back to answer that question and would you suggest dimpling the barrel

  5. I like there upper a lot but I ordered a lower from them and mags wouldn't drop freely. Also there barrels aren't really good the already exchange 2 300 blackout barrel I bought from them. And the bolt carrier group I got the gas key is barely stacked and they don't make bcg there . I asked the tech they stop making there own bcg awhile ago. Overall there ok company but can't compare them to colt or bcm, spikes . Etc

  6. Love this upper receiver! So easy to put together, no screwing around with timing when you torque down the barrel nut. That alone makes it worth using. Really glad I stumbled upon this upper when I built my first rifle.
