  1. Nice review I an looking for a light for my Sprinfield Armory converted to 460 Rowland to use for hog hunting at night. While my older lights are fine for home defense on a night hunt you want as much light as possible.

  2. Nice video. I'd pick the 630 for indoors as well, not so much for less lumens, but because on the wall shots you did, it looked to have a wider beam.

My ideal CQB light would be ~1000 lumens with a flood lens…I'm not aware of anyone making such a creature?

  3. I just ordered my 800 lumen light. it will be on a pistol.. it's perfect for zeroing in on a face and blinding them so they can't see me or my weapon 🙂 boom!! one bad dude down!

  4. anything over 300 lumens for indoor self defense is detrimental simply because the 300 lumens light will have more spill over than the 800 lumens that won't have noticeable spill over light until lengthier distances

  5. Thanks, this is exactly the kind of review I was looking for. I was wondering what the light difference as far as distance and spread was outside and inside a house. I feel like the TLR-1 is better for inside the home and the TLR-1 HL for if you need some real distance.

  6. I'll never purchase a surefire again. You can't send your lights in for warranty because when you submit a request they don't respond. When you try calling you will be on hold for literally hours. They don't call back they don't answer emails or voicemails. I hope that company goes out of business. If I bought one of there $7000 flashlights and it broke then I'm out $7000 and that's it. Fu#k you, your just a civilian we only speak to military logistics.
