Cheap Maintenance Vise for AR-Platform equipment

Had a few questions and wanted to provide some brief info on what I use for maintenance on AR-Platform style equipment. I have been using this for many years and has been great for cleaning, setting optics, etc. of anything with a detachable mag.

I purchased a cheap 18 dollar Harbor freight swivel vise on sale and sacrificed an old all-metal magazine. This can be done for any caliber/style of rifle that takes detachable mags.

A very inexpensive option to the dedicated cleaning vises sold by several manufactures.
Also if not needed for cleaning/tweaking then remove the magwell block & use the vise for other things.

  1. Hey, thanks. It was an optional Rock River Arms Entry Operator stock. Has Rock River Arms printed on it. It looks similar to other things but I think the exact stock would have to be ordered from RRA directly. They do, at least several years ago, sell the stock separately running on a commercial buffer tube. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching –
