A Budget Pistol AR? The FedArm AR15 Pistol – Is it worth it?

Recently I had the chance to carry a Pistol AR15 with me on one of my mock bug out trips. And to top it of it’s one that costs less than 500 bucks. It’s what I would consider a Budget AR15. So the big question on my mind was… will this thing even shoot reliably? It’s hard for me to imagine buying an AR15 for less than. 500 bucks and expecting it to work.

So I got together with my friend Todd after my trip and we took it out to put some rounds down range and see if we would have any problems with it.

Hope you enjoy what we discovered!

  1. What style of bolt carrier does Fedarms use in their AR builds? I've asked them via Gunbroker as well as their website but apparently they do not respond nor communicate with customers very well from what I've seen and many others have also stated.

  2. Still do not get these pistols! Ugly/silly looking and you are handicapping the 5.56. Many people complain about the cartridge as it is and you want to knock off 600-900 fps?

  3. Hate to sound like a snowflake, but that's NOT a SBR. Do NOT make a video or take pics with the brace shouldered. I don't want to lose the "privilege" I mean right to have a brace on my AR & AK pistols. Just my $.02

  4. I got one of these last month. wouldn't cycle at all. I had to send it back. I had never sent a gun back before, and I asked very specific questions about how to do it with no answer. They were pretty rude through the emails. Oh well, it works now.

  5. Great video, ordered one a couple of weeks ago! Will the blade slide on the existing buffer tube once the foam is removed or will I have to replace the whole tube? Thanks again for the great video!
