  1. what can I do to fix my gap or alignment of my magpul k2 and polymer trigger guard? during reloads or 1 hand manipulation it rubs my finger raw….had sl grip did same, switched to k2 for extra support but didn't help much. I have rubber grip tape over it but it slides

  2. On dimensional tolerances, how much wiggle are you comfortable with for the extension the lower receivers fitment? Do you pair these to a tight fitment? How close do you get with BCM tubes and lowers from reputable manufacturers?

Sometime ago I had an extension thread diameter was at the lower end of the tolerance range (measured it), and an upper threads that must have been at the opposite end – so the tube fit very loosely. So much so that I feared stripping the threads when torquing it.

You have put together enough of these lower halves. what is you opinion and approach? thanks.

BTW, I've always gotten some wiggle, even when paring BCM or Vltor extensions with high end lowers.

  3. You should check out the Vltor A5 buffer system. It uses a slightly longer tube, a rifle spring & a custom length buffer. It's a huge improvement over standard carbine length buffer systems.
