That is a nice carbine. I have 2 Bushmaster Carbon 15s. One is an ORC like this one, the other has the fixed FSB, M4 barrel and Izzy muzzle brake. They do have a unique recoil impluse, especially on the last shot hold open. I have also noticed that the BCGs cycle extremely smoothly in the Carbon uppers compared to my other ARs. Really really smooth! They aren't popular rifles, but I've had good luck with mine.

I owned this exact gun and it had to get back to BM twice for FTF issues. That's why the new ones have a aluminum upper, you can't make carbon fiber feed ramps lol. They put it in an XM15E2S upper/lower shells and now no problems. BTW, that super light barrel is NOT chrome lined, none of the super light .625 barrels are. I've since swapped that too, learned my lesson. Buy once, cry once.

Just wondering, have you tried shootng the cheaper shelf ammo in this model, will it cycle TULAMMO, SilverBear?
If I gotta bang on a forward assist I have major issues with ammo or cleanliness….

It came with out sights and a cheap red dot optic ….but it shoots great and its reliable. Its very light and shoots as well as my other alloy ARs . I love this gun and in case of SHTF you could carry this and lots of ammo without an extra hitch
