This will be the first part in a series of videos as we show you the entire product from beginning to end of completely assembling an AR-15 on your own. If this is your first time building an AR15 from the ground up, fret not… it’s not that difficult once you know the parts, and it will simply either “go click” if you’ve done it correctly, or not if you are unsuccessful at first. 1. Beware I have three Panther Arms ap4 rifle kits in each of these kits are missing the same Parts the charging handles. They knew they were missing these parts when they package them, because they don't have any and I will have to wait a month and a half to get them or just go buy them. The trigger guard roll pin in all three kits are too large. Good job Remington. Oh yeah I forgot none of the dust cover doors will stay closed either

  2. the video was helpful could of had more light when installing the parts to lower but overall it helped out thanks although I have to view a video on new York compliant

  3. Where You been living? i only held a AR 15 Once in my life But the TRICK FOR THAT SPRING & DETENT iS TO PUSH A 1/4" DRILL bIT THROUGH THE OPPOSITE HOLE & hold the Detent in as you push the drill bit to Cover the Detent.
Then push the Pivot pin In up against the bit 'round side facing the Detent,,, Then when you're sure the pin hole & Detent line up Twist the pivot pin till it Captures the hole in the pivot pin & finish pushing the drill bit out,,, Now about that $10.00 off my next purchase,,,???

  4. When you get to the pivot pin portion, use needle nose to push pin down on top of spring, push pin down with a small punch, then use a staple to wedge the pin down while holding the staple, lastly just slide the pivot pin through and remove staple.

  5. Great video it helped a lot….besides losing the detente pin for the bolt hold open, it launched into oblivion,Ill buy another.  All the rest was done in the bathroom!  I prefer my AK builds better suited for the big handed gentleman!

  6. i live in cali dumbest gun laws/ politicians on the planet what good it does since cali has some of the highest gun crimes anyway. just making things harder on the people who actually obey the law and we all know criminals obey the law to the letter

  7. for the pivot detent, I found that using a bolt sized to the holes for the pivot pin put in through the other side creates a backing for the detent so that it will not drop through the pivot holes. Got it in in two tries.

  8. use a razor to hold down the pin when installing the forward take down pin. Its easy to hold down that way and you can just slide the take down pin through with no problem. it makes quick easy work of what use to be the MOST annoying part of assembling a lower

  9. Front takedown detent trick. I use one of my punches and put it through to hold the detent in place and then carefully push the pin in place from the other side. I learned this after losing one on my first build . Have not since knock on wood

  10. Good video.  Believe you misidentified one of the springs up front, but no biggie; one can easily figure it out.  At 13:10 you have the problem that requires a special tool you do not have.  The special tool you need is a 1" or 1.25" spackle spatula.  It will allow you to hold the detent in and keep it in while you are trying to set the forward pivot pin..

  11. Good information glad too see I didn't need to buy a vise for this part , but I needed to run a 1/4 28 tap in the pistol grip hole them threads were very snug the bolt wasn't going to start at all ….

  12. I'm going to start on my first 'project' this weekend.  Thanks for the great video(s)!  One suggestion, though.  Since much of what you're showing is black on black and the things you're pointing out are small (easily hidden by the finger you're pointing with), how about using a laser pointer.  Nothing special – just the kind cats play with.  It would sure make it easier to see exactly what you're talking about.

    Thanks again…

  13. good video, but some of your nomenclature is off i.e. "the bolt catch buffer, and bolt catch buffer spring" that is not correct, other than that it is pretty spot on good job man

  14. aWSOME!!! MY LOWER IS NOW COMPLETE!!However I believe there is an easier way to install the locking pin that has a habit of shooting off. This video was most informative, thanks guys, I will refer you!!

  15. Great demo. Thank you for uploading. For installation of take down pins, I use an Allen wrench key to depress detend springs and slide pins in and slide Allen wrench out.

  16. If you can't identify the parts without color coding you really awt not be building your own.

@TBP for the pivot pin detention pin and spring use a box cutter razor blade or piece of tape to hold the detention pin flush while you insert the pivot pin.
