🔑 Key Takeaways
Building your own AR allows for full control over every component, helping you avoid the “hodgepodge” reliability issues often found in cheap, mass-produced pre-builts.

Prioritizing quality in specific areas—like opting for a 4150 CMV steel barrel and an enhanced Nickel Teflon trigger—provides significantly better performance and longevity than basic mil-spec components.
Expensive hardware is no substitute for skill. Ultimately, solid training and mastering your fundamentals will always outperform a high-dollar rifle.

  1. I only had to get one DD to realize they are unbelievable mediocre and nothing special in any way. I have most high end brands and DD is literally in the same tier as aero. Its hard to admit but it's true. Not to mention their triggers are tied with Gen 1 sig m400 for the worst of all time

  2. DD mk18 is 2-3 moa overgassed over hyped instagram clout mid tier. It truly is not a high tier rifle. Mid at best. The only high tier part of the MK18 is the rail lockup.

After buying a super duty that shoots 1 moa and is tuned to shoot soft I’ll never buy another DD.

I’ll gladly bring my rifles in (I’m a local SWAT guy in the Minneapolis metro area) out to you guys.

  3. With a Gucci AR, you’re paying for a properly tuned rifle, quality components, and proper assembly. In theory you can build a quality AR for cheaper. You need to make sure that you buy in-spec and high quality parts, a good (and properly gassed) barrel, and a quality mil-spec BCG. And then you need to properly assemble it with correct tooling. For me, I like building my own, because I have now acquired the knowledge and tooling to maintain them in doing so. Plus, it’s super fun and satisfying

  4. Ooff lost me when you said bear shits in the creek Arsenal. I still have emails from Kyle at BCA saying not staking the gas key was their new way to do it. NOT STAKING THE GAS KEY. It gets worse.

Stay away from BCA!!! I bought 6 rifles and the expensive ones like the GPX that went in for warranty 5 times before they kept it because they ran out of parts and gave me store credit. I had no choice but to buy 2 more with that. They were 10MOA and 14MOA with federal GMM. Returned those. Sent 2 more. Ones about 6MOA with match ammo and the other is about 2.5MOA (barrel not made by BCA this was a contract overrun buy; 223 wylde 1:8 416R SS).

Nah I’m not finishing the video BCA is the most garbage company. Wait til ICE raids them again.

  5. Video idea. Show building an AR10 from scratch and how many parts you have to buy then buy then buy again to tune it. To quote the office “this is the worst”.

Nah mines working great now. I did get lucky on some parts unlucky on others.

Do an AR10 from scratch video. So people don’t make the same mistakes we all do. An AR15 from scratch is easy peasy. Worst part is the detents in the takedown pins.

  6. Different tools for different jobs. Have you ever heard of a "High Burn" Vs "Low Burn" Rifle?
The price difference tends to be in the quality and manufacturing of the parts, and the accessories you throw on it.

  7. So…what happens when you don't have $600 for a firearm???…….what if you're in the "working poor" class in America???….and even saving $400 takes 6-8 months???… y'all just can't identify with the struggle of us "po' folks"…….

  8. 6 THOUSAND $$$ for LITERALLY ANY firearm is so phukking stupid I'm practically speechless….I can't even wrap my head & thoughts around that type of dumb assery…….

  9. A large portion of people would want a budget gun for protecting their home. I vote to upgrade it for fighting/ home defense. You would'nt want that mark 18 in an evidence locker for eternity.

  10. I mostly shoot service rifle with my ar. Assembled the lower with the parts i wanted @ about 350 beans bought a budget complete upper from a well known co. And it shoots well (sub moa) for around 700 beans without an optic

  11. BCG is the LAST component that I would skimp on. You could force me to use the cheapest everything else. BCG is heart of gun and if it doesn't work gun is down. I'm never going to buy Bear Creek ever again. My brother bought an upper it gaged out SOTAR spec in every way. I ordered one, sent defective bolt carrier group back, got second defective unit. Erratic if non existent QC. I've had better luck with PSA fixing their issues and a better time with HK customer service than Bear Creek Assery

  12. There is a noticable difference between shooting a budget AR and a high tier AR. I'm calling BS on this whole thing. If the group is that bad at 25 feet how bad would it be at 100 yards or 200 yards?
