Yesterday, the Delaware House of Representatives passed Senate Bill 300, sending the “FFL Killer” bill to Governor Matt Meyer’s desk. The bill was amended to prohibit a state level firearm registration scheme and removed the tiered licensing fees based on sales volume, but onerous licensing mandates that will cripple Delaware licensed dealers remain. Please use the Take Action Button below and urge Governor Meyer to VETO this legislation and protect Delaware’s legal firearms business!
This legislation imposes costly and burdensome new requirements on gun stores that go far beyond federal ATF regulations, including a separate state license, high-end surveillance systems with video storage, strict security and storage rules, biennial training, detailed recordkeeping with biannual submissions to the Delaware State Police, and frequent inspections.
