Is a High End AR 15 platform actually worth the money, or are you just paying for a logo? The market is currently obsessed with high-end, Gucci-tier AR15 setups, completely ignoring the math of diminishing returns. Today, we put the LMT MRP MARS on the bench to find out if that final 5% of performance is worth a 300% markup. 1️⃣ Access Gear & Specs Sheet Vault: ➔

👇 ABOUT THIS VIDEO:

This video is for educational and documentary purposes, demonstrating technical specs and safety features in my Office which is a controlled environment and Regulated outdoor Range with a Safety Officer present in compliance with all legal and safety standards. In this kinematic and engineering analysis, we take a strictly objective deep-dive into the LMT AR platform. We break down the proprietary aerospace-grade monolithic upper receiver, the modular barrel architecture, and the fully bilateral lower receiver geometry. We also expose a massive mechanical flaw regarding their commercial profile AR-15 bolt carrier group (EBCG) versus the industry-standard profile.

  1. Standard military issued m4 are 600 bucks and are good for war so common sense always said paying 2000 for an AR for range use or holding in a safe was never a smart financial decision. But people are easily influenced

  2. Barrel, BCG, gas/buffer system are the only parts of an AR that actually matter. Throw optic of your choice on and whatever controls/ergos you fancy. A nice trigger for a cherry on top.

  3. I have 2 all Aero Precision rifles e.g., AR10, AR15 (middle of the road) I have a Sig Sauer M400 enhanced factory stock (middle of the road), Adams Arms piston upper on an Icon Defense Lower with an Aero Precision lower kit, and Adams Arms BCG (budget-ish), an Advanced Armament upper on a Juggernaut Lower with a PSA BCG and Aero lower kit (Budget), and lastly I have a Kel Tec SU-16 E (Budget, not really an AR but close enough) all have been super reliable and durable. All of those listed have harvested meat and dispatched nuisance varmints. For my needs I can't see any point in the Gucci AR market. I always appreciate the clarity that you bring to products.

  4. Your Pistol exists to help you fight your way to your AR, your AR exists for helping you fight your way to your 308 AK.
    556 Is Cope
AR15 is Cope, buffer Tube and Magazines are Weak, lockup of the Barrel to the Receiver is Weak and will not handle bayoneting.

  5. My ADM ADM4 MOD 2 is fully ambi, Geissele trigger, Criterion barrel, PERFECTLY gassed, Nitride BCG, Radian safety and charging handle, and goes for 2k or less.

Anyone buying an LMT is overpaying. The over gassing would drive me absolutely nuts. Let them get their money from the government contracts they have.

  6. because some men(toys) are not at all practical and very much like women(clothing/shoes) in succumbing to marketing. An M&P15 patrol is one example of the point of diminishing return for 99% of citizen AR15 ownership.

  7. When getting sucked into the higher tier stuff, I ask my self 1 question. Am I a Delta force super-high speed battle ninja or am I an old fat guy who like to have fun at the range? In case you are wondering, I'm an old fat guy who likes to have fun at the range. This has saved me $1000's

  8. Geissele broke the market with their "Blem' sales. I can't really see a reason to get anything other than a Super Duty at this point if we are talking direct impingement. Even then I have a couple HK's and a couple MCX's, still grabbing my SD or URGI if SHTF.

  9. Good stuff. I bought a 11.5 BCM upper, put a Breek Arms CH in it. I do have a Aero pistol lower with a CMC drop in trigger I put in it. Haven't decided if I want to keep it as pistol AR or SBR yet. thanks for the video.

  10. In the AR world you have several grades.
Hobby grades are home builds or generic low end guns. They are sold by companies that are NEVER going to be chosen to be an actual military issue weapon.
BCM, DD, SOLGW, PSA, S&W, NOVESKE, BCA, RUGER etc. These guns are very low effort. They are basically built to rack grade without any enhancements. Generic AR.

Military grade. These are gun that have been awarded contracts to arm militaries fleet wide. COLT, KAC, LMT, FN, SIG, CARACAL, H&K etc. These guns have all won military procurement trials to include NATO over the beach tests.

Operator grade. LMT, LWRCI, POF, KAC, SIG, H&K etc. Some of these have been awarded contracts and won trials. They all show high degrees of engineering and enhancement well beyond the 60 plus year old design of the generic hobby grade guns.
The problem with the AR market is when manufactures of LARPING range toys try to pass themselves off as actual military weapons and creep their prices upwards as such.
Their recievers are made under marking variants. They dont make anything but somehow they tell you that their QC is what you are paying for. I dont see them as any different than guns assembled at the kitchen table by bubba.

  11. I recently bought a Giessele handguard in DD color and the finish looked like shit with a scratch and was marred, and I've bought parts from other brands that are sold as a blemish item and they look far superior to G$ finish.
