Virginia Is Banning The AR-15, & It Backfired Immediately

Virginia is banning the sale, purchase, and transfer of AR-15s and other so-called “assault firearms” on July 1st.

So what did Virginians do?

They bought a record number of them.

After Governor Spanberger signed SB 749, Virginia firearm background checks more than doubled compared to the same month last year — and the state ranked second in the entire country for rifle and shotgun-related checks, behind only Texas.

The politicians said they were going to get these rifles “off the streets.”

Virginians said, “Bet.”

That’s the part everybody is laughing about. But the bigger issue is what comes next.

Because this ban lets people keep what they already own — for now.

And that phrase matters.

Sales ban today. Registry tomorrow. Confiscation talk later. That’s how these things move: one “reasonable step” at a time.

Virginia tried to ban America’s most popular rifle, prosecutors are already refusing to enforce it, and the people responded the most American way possible — by clearing the shelves before the window closes.

  1. I hate to say it, really I do, but I agree with the lieutenant governor here. Its no big secret that a direct ruling from the Supreme Court on an ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN would mean the immediate end to all AWBs across the country. So why doesn't the Court just hear one? Theyve been challenged since the Heller decision. It seems they are either complicit with some Americans having their rights infringed or they agree with AWBs. The simplest solution would be to hear a case, but you and I know they wont. Why?

  2. A list, doesn't work..too many people with the same name exist..birthdates similar or even excact, bank at the same bank, live in the same county or city etc.. could even have the same last 4 digits of ss number..etc….

  3. I am currently stationed in Virginia and this is true… from the time that this was in talks myself and a bunch of my friends/coworkers were like “let me buy something” whether were gonna do anything with it or not we all bought handguns, rifles, shotguns, lowers, mags, parts, etc. we figured it’s better to have it and decide on what we’ll do with it later vs not being able to have it at all.

  4. The purpose of the second amendment is to allow the citizens the capability of going to war with a tyrannical government. The "weapon of war" argument is meaningless.

  5. I think Trump's DOJ will use VA as the springboard to get SCOTUS to finally fix this crap. They haven't gone after CA, WA, OR, or MD… but using a real-time situation to finally take action across the board will give them what they need to tell all of those other states to suck it… IF they will start holding individual politicians financially and criminally responsible for violating rights and oathes of office. Otherwise, they will keep trying and our only recourse will be standing up the true militia – armed to the teeth.

  6. Just proves that democrats and republicans work together behind closed doors.
How are you putting a ban on semiautomatic rifles and not expect people to buy more of them.
Next raise money from the people to take the ban down.

  7. Let’s make no mistake the weapons that I have are much better than what I was issued in the military even in the SF community. Civilians absolutely do need weapons of war equal to are better than what the military uses

  8. You know, the other day I was working, i saw a elder lady wearing a black shirt that read "weapons of war doesn't to the street" with "patriots" America flag on the sleeve. I was disgruntled at that lady. I was like, there is no weapons of war on the streets.

  9. This should not be a surprise to anyone – I've been saying this since the Obama era. Hard not to think the that the anti gun crowd aren't intentionally doing this to boost the value of their stock investments. Kinda like the SPLC funding the KKK. 🤦

  10. Instead of working to solve the problems that cause shooting ( suicide, mental health and crime) you want to ban something. Something that is a RIGHT. If you look at Proabination, it created organiziied crime.

  11. Let be honest here, until these unconstitutional laws are struck down, they’re winning. We’re here celebrating guns sales while they’re playing the long game. There’s a reason why they ban the “transfer”. The devil and the children of his followers have more time than you & I. This isn’t about us, it’s about our children, grandchildren & thereafter. If we don’t strike this movement down, this right will die with us.
