Or is the proper word “assemble?” @Hoplopfheil bought a PSA Sabre to find out.

  1. What is a good handguard these days. I like my larue and alg rails because they are tanky, overbuilt, but maybe a bit hefty. I don't like the exhaust pipe friction assemblies that you see a lot of. What is the move?

  2. If psa did do an a5 system for cheap (sprinco green h2 buffer) in their sabers they could do very well on the market. Drop the radian ambi even and just do an a5 system for the same price. I dont care about ambi safeties the only thing I like is I can feel the safety is on while my rifle is slung. What i would like is the hk or mcx style bolt release more common on Ar lowers.

  3. The thing I've realized about psa rifles is, there not here to be "muh phufeckt whar riful" there there to proved a ok, cost effective, experience to bring in new shooters, thus bolstering the likelihood of more people caring about AR-15s and what happens with them.

In a world where all AR-15s were $2000 Daniel Defense guchi blasters, only those few who had a AR would care about what happens to them, and there would be no where near enough support for the platform to prevent it getting killed off. "The government wants get rid of AR-15s? why should I care? only rich lil p_ricks use AR-15s. So long as they dont touch muh home defense shotgun I'm fine" -The hypothetical poor gun owner in that universe, its like if the government were to ban bugatti brand cars tomorrow, Who would give a fu_ck outside of the few rich kids that have one? we don't have them and more than likely never will, and there for no desire to stop that ban from taking place despite the desperate cries of those who do have one.

By having a budget AR-15 that works even just as a range toy, it helps build and foster care for the platform as new people pick up that sh_itty $500 PS-AR with there spare pocket change on a whim, shoot it, find out they like AR-15s, and now that they own one, and more than likely want to upgrade into something cooler, get a passive obligation to protect the AR-15 platform if they want to continue the hobby to its fullest extent, a task made difficult if every AR was a super premium guchi blaster 90000 with a barrier to entry that of there entire months wage. The PSA ARs true power is that they are a gateway drug, not the best out there, but just enough to get you wanting more, your first, but most defiantly not your last.

  4. A PSA lower from last year didn’t have the buffer tube screwed all the way in, but the tube had that ledge with a slot at the bottom that catches the pin, even if it should go another rotation.

  5. I don’t like their weak ass charging handle. 500 dollar freedom hits decent groups with .55 grain. What are you Larpers crying about?

    They are a budget
pistol company making a solid AR. I’m not buying that Sabre +300 dollars.

  6. I have several of their upper kits ranging from 9in to 14.5in. I have sent every one of them off to be gone through and checked by a gunsmith. They all came back perfect (i know i got lucky, mistakes happen and sometimes their QC fails).
I love em, they all shoot good and with some small tuning like changing the buffer they run frt's nice and smooth, but i don't own any sabre line of products as i bought them all before sabre was a thing.

  7. buy a caracal 814a2 patrol, there is a reason it's getting adopted all over central and south America right now, it's the only D.I ar that's OTB test capable from the factory , also the Q.C absolutely shits on anything PSA's 14 dollar an hour assemblers can slop out

  8. There's an Israeli as one of the main investors which should raise ran eyebrow for starters. I hear good things and bad things about their AR's but I'll never trust em. The shilling around PSA tends to lean towards the Leviathan tribe if people are curious, which is nothing but israeli marketer influencing company. PSA is the most ultra shilled firearm manufacturer I've ever seen in my life, red flags are all over this company. Look at the complaints from their own forums it's a lot of clumsy everything, QC, assembly, ect.

  9. I bought a PSA "Premium" 14.7 PNW upper with an FN CHF barrel back around 2016. I've taken it out to 600m for consistent hits on torso sized steel and it honestly shoots better than my BCM upper.

I trust my PSA, but that doesn't mean I would trust someone else's.

  10. I understand that a YouTuber's goal is to drive views and engagement and that sometimes outrageous statements are made in pursuit of that goal. If someone believes the only way they're going to get laid is by buying the latest and greatest laser then that reflects more on the viewer than the creator. I'm fine with that, caveat emptor. I take exception when creators are so irresponsible that they knowingly spew false and dangerous information. I hope that if some dimwit actually believes it's okay to build a rifle with a hand-tight barrel- and castle- nuts and that tragedy occurs that they sue @Hoplopfheil and TheNovaGroup. And that the award is so stunningly large that other creators take notice and start being mature responsible adults. As an armorer I'll make money off of the dimwits that follow this advice when building ARs that break but don't cause a tragedy. @Hoplopfheil will have to live with the knowledge that his immaturity and irresponsibility caused someone to be killed or seriously injured.

  11. You know people can complain about PSA quality but look how much people have learned from working on these cheap ass rifles when it comes to fixing them. 30 years ago you average shooter did not know as much as they do about fixing and trouble shooting the platform as they do today. Where PSA really fucked was getting into the AK Industry if they were not going to make them to spec. Plus PSA should have charged a extra 10 bucks or whatever they needed to insure proper barrel installation on their ar 15s

  12. For 10:37 I find that after my first AR, I need to go over the whole rifle and make sure it has been adjusted properly. No more taking for granted out of the box ready language. This also means you need tools because the castle nut isn't always staked or properly torqued and you also need to make sure it is straight. School of the American Rifle vids helped me so much for stuff to find. Like the review here!

  13. DD 14.5 p/w upper on sale on Dvor right now for $800. BCM and sometimes G$ uppers can be found for sale under $800 pretty often too. I love that this thing is decent, but couldnt spend that kind of cash on it knowing I could have one of those other 3.

  14. My PSA lower has the buffer tube over rotated into position. Two out of the four PSA products I’ve bought I’ve had to reassemble. I think the saber line is great for getting the parts into hand as a package. Especially if you’re a new owner and you don’t quite know what to buy yet. But you absolutely have to break it all down and reassemble it. Assembly QC is abysmal from PSA.
