An A.R. 15 is a very good home defense gun but at the same time you have to understand that I can’t even kill a bear. I take about 15 shots you’d want something like a 10 mm with 200 grain buffalo or copper.

I think the idea of using it for hunting is the only decent idea. If you want to put all of your money into an awesome AR15 and would rather buy this instead of a hunting rifle then go for it. It’s also a lot cheaper, it’s hard to find a high caliber bolt action rifle from a reputable brand for under 1k
