The reason, thankfully, that not all companies don’t have a recharging pad on them like Olight is because Olight’s battery is like an Apple iPhone. You’re not easily or quickly going to be changing the battery out, ever. In fact, I don’t believe the olights are able to be taken out AT ALL, unlike bringing your iPhone to a tech person and having it changed out. THE REASON is, if we spend $150+ on a light, we’d like to be able to keep it for a loooong time, rather than have to switch it out like Olight users will have to do with enough use.
I won't buy a light that ypu can't remove the battery. Over time the battery will go bad and instead of throwing the light away you can just change the battery. I believe that's why Streamlight makes a removable battery.
