  1. It’s tough because if you ever have to kill someone with your weapon, you have to defend each and every upgrade to show that you’re not intending to do extraordinary harm. The scary black rifle is borderline already unfortunately, still cool tho lol

  2. I have a BCM MK2 Standard Recce 14 P/W with a BCM Mod 7 MB, BCM BGG and CH in the upper along with a Wilson Combat Forged lower. Furniture includes mostly W/C grip, butt stock, buffer spring and LPK along with a BCM Mod 3 VG. Trigger is a 3 lb. Velocity SS Trigger. Optics is Holosun HS510c + HM3X optic combo. Additionally, I use Magpul BUIS F&R, and QD end plate. Looking to replace some of my W/C LPK and replace with Radian Talon Ambi SS, the Odin Works XMR 2 EMR and finally, the Magpul aluminum enhanced trigger guard. Use case is primarily for 2 Gun Matches.

  3. Thanks for sharing! I always learn something new from your videos. Straight to the point. I'm currently waiting for my first AR-15, a S&W Sport II. But I already got a few "upgrades" for it. Can't wait!

  4. Everyone says to change the trigger I been thinking about it I have an m&p sport 2 was I live in Arizona and I've heard good things about timney triggers and they are made 20 minutes from my house so I've been debating on getting one of their triggers read lots of reviews but still always looking for more so if anyone's tried one and has pros and cons lmk

  5. For home defense and other applications never go cheap, especially knock offs for less money.Radian, Magpul BCM, all make great proven products. Order from a reputable source like Midway, Brownells, or Wing Tactical where you know you will be getting the genuine article. Just ordered a Radian Raptor charging handle through Midway for my AR pistol.

  6. I’m building the first AR that I’ve ever owned. Thought about buying complete one but where’s the fun in that. So I got an Aero Precision receiver set & hand guard & started ordering parts. I’m building an AR10 in 6.5CM w/16” barrel. I’ve got a can in jail & it’s funny the hardest thing I’ve been trying to decide is what 1-10 optic I want 🤣🤣🤣 …

  7. Radian charging handle, Radian 45degree ambi safety, and a Geissele Super Dynamic Combat trigger are 3 of my favorites. I have another gun with the SSA-E trigger but, I think the SDCombat trigger is better for all-around use. The SSA-E is just such a light trigger. Also, my gun came with a Vltor A5 buffer system already installed..I love that too. I’ll prob add it to all of my ARs.

  8. When I built my AR I did an M-16A2 clone and in my opinion there are three parts you don’t go cheap. Barrel, Bolt Carrier Group and Trigger. I went with a Government profile Barrel, Timney 3lb trigger and an M16 bolt carrier group.

You can add things to your AR to make it easier to shoot but the main thing is getting out to the range and train with your firearm. You can have all the gadgets, doo-dads and whatever and they don’t mean a thing unless you train.

  9. As a left handed shooter, two of the first things I want to do are hunt down an ambi safety and ambi mag release. having these two makes my shooting experience much less frustrating. Naturally, an ambi charging handle helps, but I don't particularly need one, even though I still use one.

  10. Many guntubers insist that a lighter trigger is always better, no matter what. Good on you for reminding viewers that it isn't a great idea for a carry/duty/defensive application.

  11. Trigger and if you can’t build a side charger/pdq ambi bolt release then definitely ambi-charging handle. Triggers I think TT, and blackout probably the best out there but for different reasons. I like the tun-ability of TT diamond triggers. Great for precision work. Blackouts are just fast.

  12. I never thought about an ambi safety on my ARs because the existing safety is so easy and intuitive to operate with thumb. You bring up a good point though. What if your thumb is out of commission? I honestly hadn't considered it, and now I will. I've never changed my charging handles, but unlike the safety, I've thought about it but never got around to it. Once I do it, I'm sure it will be one of those, "Man, why did I wait so long to do that?" You don't know what your missing if you never had it, right? Triggers I have swapped out. I didn't actually change my first trigger until it broke and I had no choice. Once I changed it I couldn't go back. Now I can't stand mil spec triggers. I get new ones immediately. My favorite trigger right now is Trgger Tech, but there are a lot of nice triggers out there I haven't tried yet. I'm always looking for a reason to try something new 🙂.

  13. Working on a new Diamondback 11.5 inch. Taking your advice on the ambi trigger. Going with the Battle-Arms Development BAD-ASS Pro Reversible 90/60. Still thinking about the charging handle. Would like a flat trigger, but it doesn't need to be a light trigger. Prefer a milspec trigger on ARs. Not a competition rifle. Any thoughts?

  14. For right handed shooters the mil spec charging handle is ok for the most part. The biggest advantage the ambi handles offer are the ability to lock the bolt back without bringing the stock down to your waist.

  15. Thanks for talking a good bit about different trigger for different use. So many think they need the lightest trigger possible, but this just isn't the case. Also, 2-stage vs. single stage triggers. I'm one of those weird ones that really prefers a 2-stage when I can.

Anyways, awesome video that should be helpful to the masses.

  16. Both of my Daniels Mk18s, radian 45 degree safeties, Geissele Ssae trigger. One has a radian charging handle (it came with a milspec handle), I kept the other DD charging handle (their radian copy, which I like).

Just somethings you adjust to you.

  17. I'm running the basic bitch starter pack of upgrades in my AR as far as this list goes. Radian Talon ambi safety, Radian Raptor ambi charging handle, and the Geissele SD-C trigger. It may be basic bitch barbie level, but I wouldn't have it any other way lol. Goes baby every time and looks basic bitch sexy while doing it!
