I built my 308 for 800 could of done it cheaper but I spent money on a trigger and on the barrel and getting 1/2" group at 100 yards with a 16" barrel very happy with it
They need to standardized the AR10. Hopefully LMT does that with the new SOCOM contract they got. And I have a SFAR and had a problem with it but Ruger fixed it
It's highly upsetting that a "gun" guy didn't talk about the BC-10. Bear creek arsenal makes a AR10 For $500 bucks. It's a real AR. I can't believe they haven't heard of these folks.

Zastava M-77, it's priced a little north of 1K. It's chambered in 308 with a cold hammer forged, chrome lined barrel.
I think DPMS Panther has jump started the AR-10 thing . Who was the first to take the step in developing today's AR-10 as we know It ?

Side note. Its not difficult to find a brand new Radical RF-10 for $500.
You can complain about Sig all you want, the Sig Tread 308 is the best 308 on the market.( Budget)
I picked up a used LMT MWS (older quad rail model) from a buddy for $1500 a few years back. I haven’t shot it a lot, but it does shoot great!

I bought a used dpms lr308 for 600 and I have not put many rounds thru it, but it's heavy and goes bang,a criterion barrel and should be good to go.
