  1. It is all situationally dependent. You should keep your magazines if able. You may not be able to get more. You also may not be able to retrieve the magazine you threw away if you’re on the advance or retreat. Obviously fighting within the building or trench at close range is different. Retaining the magazine should be the goal, but it shouldn’t hinder rapid reloads when needed.

  2. Hey Clint, I think I can sum this up pretty easily for you. There are two kinds of reloads: Wick flick and Val Kilmer’s “Heat” reload (or at least it looks like Chris saves the mag in “the scene”).

Also, just wanted to say even though I’m not a Toyota fan (they’re not made for people with legs), the blue on your 4 Runner is gorgeous. Even dirty, *chef’s kiss*.

  3. Not sure why this is even a question. If you have to decide on something like this, you have WAY MORE problems to deal with than losing a $15 – $50 magazine. People and their priorities; geez.

Also, yes always be buying more magazines. Especially if you currently live in Oregon as so called "large capacity magazines" will be illegal to purchase, transfer etc. here in Oregon starting sometime in March of 2026.

  4. Saw your last video and instantly wanted a DSA 58
Did the research and practically built one virtually and i am very close to pulling the trigger on it
I then get off work and sit down to this video… oh man

  5. There's a thousand different things that can happen a thousand different ways. If dropping a magazine on the ground will break or make it jam, take it out of your inventory and invest in better equipment.

  6. I agree 💯. It depends on your situation if you ditch your mag or retain it. Having been shot at, I'll be damn if I'm going to take those few precious seconds to grab my mag, whether it's my sidearm or primary weapon.
