Recently finished my 14.5 blueprint build on a budget. More need to know spending 2k+ for a boutique AR isnt necessary.
I love the 11.5 length. Absolutely run an LPVO. The top YT have moved to them. Check GThumbs video “does size matter.” He talks about his set personal set up. He runs an 11.5 with an LPVO. So ignore the haters. In my state which is 90% mountains I would love to see you run a red dot vs scopes. In fact I have I never plinked with silhouettes. Only 7” plates out 400yds. We practice 3” targets at 300yds. A lot of us out here will catch you peeping from a corner across the canyon. So yes, train a LPVO because unless you stuck in the city when it goes down you need to train at distance.

You need a shot timer. SG Timer Go is what I recommend. What gets measured gets improved.
Love the training, however for a true SHTF gun i would recommend a longer barrel length. A 16" or 18" is the way i would go.

For 1500 you probably could have bought a Tavor 16” rifle…. Because it’s a bull pup, it would have been shorter overall package with the superior ballistics.
