This last week, a tragedy unfolded. An American Airman set his HOLSTERED Sig Sauer P320 down on a table and the pistol fired into his chest and ended his life. This isn’t supposed to happen. In response, the Air Force Global Strike Command has immediately paused use of the M18 pistol. In this video, I demonstrate why this cannot happen with any other striker-fired pistol, yet somehow happens over and over with the P320. If Sig had addressed this problem, this man might still be alive. Let me know what you think about this in the Comments and don’t forget to Subscribe!

  1. There were 2 deaths from Sig P320's before this. This was the first death (that I know of) in the military due to the M17/M18 which are both the military version of the P320.

  2. Dude points a loaded gun with the safety off at himself yet its all the guns fault lol everyones just jumping on the sig bashing bandwagon when its mostly cops with embarrassing discharges the dont want to admit to

  3. You aren’t really paying attention to the P320 discharges if you’re saying “now there’s an actual death” . This is NOT the first death from a Sig P320 ND.

  4. I own a P320 X-Five DH3 and it is an amazing firearm, I use it as a range gun and after approximately 3000 rounds have never experienced single issue. Its too big to carry and wouldn't use it for home defense as a precaution because of this issue. This is all a shame because I own other Sig's and there customer service was always very good.
Understand this may not be this service mans fault but at the end of the day " never point a gun at anything you don't want to kill" even unloaded, in a holster or not, or walk in front of it when its on a table, there could something wrong with your gun it doesn't have to be the P320. It's just safety and good practice.

  5. Air Force desks are metal desks. It is possible the Airman removed the holstered gun while standing facing the front of the desk. Then walking around to take a seat at the rear of desk…opened and shut a desk drawer transmitting perhaps forcefully…thereby sufficient vibration under the holstered gun… resulting in the M18 striker leg jumping the sear ledge.

  6. I didn't purchase a Sig P320, thank God, due to a soldier, on the Reserve Army's Marksmanship team, about 3 or 4 years ago. He said I may not want to purchase the SIG and went on to, not only tell me about his shooting partner getting shot in the leg, running up to the "firing line" at a competition; but, also showed me it happening (on his cell phone) and, yep, the gun went off, as she had her hands "in the air! She was also unable to compete, while healing up, for 6 months! SIG has really lost All My Respect, now. Of note: that soldier, whose firearm "shot her" in the leg, is in a suit against SIG, as far as I know.

  7. My bedside Glock, a good old Gen 3-G22 (yes, I love my 40SW) has been chambered for most of the last 15 years. It's whole life. Except for range trips and refreshing HD ammo once a year. And I have other pistols that are always loaded too. I've never once worried about any of my pistols getting minds of their own and taking me or someone else out. We depend on these things with our lives and the lives of our loved ones and we depend on them being safe ie not firing unless we pull the trigger. Its supposed to be that simple.

I think Sig is a dead brand at this point. Everything Sig Sauer is tainted. People don't even want their optics anymore.

I'd like to see a deep dive on how/why our military decided to use the M17/M18 and the XM7 at the same time. A deadly unsafe pistol from sig and a by most accounts, a shit rifle firing a shit cartridge that none of our soldiers like or want that's also sig. With a multi 1000 dollar sig optic. It is a bit odd don't you think? Anyway, sorry for the long comment. There's just alot going on with this subject. Its alot to talk about. Good video bro.
