  1. Combat vet giving my worthless two cents here. After several deployments and the majority of that time being spent outside of the F.O.B. running patrols, and getting into fire fights on average 2-3 times a week. I can tell you right now this whole idea of “I wouldn’t trust my life with it”, or “it isn’t a battle rifle” is absolutely ridiculous. I maybe shot a 3rd of what Grand Thumb ran through that PSA IN A SINGLE DAY!!! I don’t think people realize how absolutely insane that is!

You don’t need some $3,000+ rifle…not even a $1,000 rifle. What you need is something that hasn’t failed within the first 500 rounds and always goes bang when you pull the trigger. These are weapons of war this whole “sporting rifle” gun snob BS that has infected the gun owners community needs to be purged ASAP. The scenarios are absolutely ridiculous and are coming from guys with little to no combat experience at all.

  2. Love my Basic PSA AR15 with carry handle. Sure it’s budget. However what makes PSA great, the life time warranty & if you want you can pimp it out later on and make its performance even better.

    I see a PSA AR 15 as a Win/Win

  3. PSA Sabre line has the FN CHF barrels that absolutely beat out the life line of top tier barrel manufacturers. Psa is cheap but their Sabre line I believe is an absolute steal for the money.

  4. Only heard good things about psa used to stay away from them because most “budget” guns are just cheap trash but after everything ive seen and heard about psa and including the ones ive shot i would recommend psa to anyone thats new or lower budget looking to get into firearms

  5. Actually,… if it can last 6k in full auto, then it can perfectly be our SHTF battle gun. Not a single soldier shoots 6k rounds, full auto or not, not even in the same day, anywhere.

  6. So who is getting a full auto ?? Nobody, except the police.
How is a “budget” AR less superior than some “high end” AR? Either way you are getting 6061 or 7075 aluminum, a combination of any of the 6 carbon steels used and or of the 2 stainless steels used, and there is only like 3 manufactures that make all their own parts, so the other 50 or so companies might be making some component themselves but are essentially assemblers of mil spec parts.
So what makes an AR a “budget” or “high end” AR? Quality control, but the operator is the ultimate discerner of quality control, something doesn’t work, replace the part causing the issue. But complete failures are rare and far and few between, that’s why mil spec parts work.
So go out and buy a “budget” AR, drop in a 2 stage trigger, tune your rifle, and if accuracy is still a problem, put in a decent barrel. And if something still isn’t working right, your ammo is shit or you aren’t cleaning your rifle, but your $600 AR is not inferior to some $2500 AR.

  7. Even if you do heavily use one, buy another upper and reset the mileage. I get the value of a premium AR, but like you and GT point out, the vast, overwhelming majority of people in the market for an AR aren't arming Rangers or SEALs who are going into an open-ended warfare scenario.
