I thought it was called hub because 1 3/8×24 is standard bicycle hub thread.
Got a big honkin tap&die from a bike shop. Pricey, but for us Form1 guys it's a time saver over single point threads.
The design is reminiscent of old form 1 designs from "white trash tactical" (resilient), "queltech" (ocl), and xrt tactical.
HUB is the way to go. Unless there is a very good reason not to do HUB on your design it really should have HUB. Glad to see most of the industry is moving towards this standardization.
