Why did i get the TLR-1 HL over the HLX? simply because of size and holster compatibility. Sure both lights are TLR-1 but the HLX has a slightly different profile dimension compared to the original HL. It’s slightly wider because of the little latch it has making holsters with tighter and precise fitments harder to use the HLX in and it is slightly longer. So far there aren’t a lot of holsters that the HLX can fit into that are made for the normal HL so I decided to just stick to the basics and what’s compatible with most stuff right now
