The details and measurements will vary, but try this out on your rifle/scope combo.

Great vid, I'm former USAF myself. I have a 3×9 scope mounted on my carry handle, if I zero my 223 at 25 yds will it also be zero at 300 as it is with iron sights?
There's no such thing as too much data, but there's such a thing as not enough!
you make some very informative and interesting videos. tyvm.
@bfgguns
Subjective 😛
@MotorCityPrepper You can, but that would take some time (collecting enough data shooting in various wind speeds to estimate distance of holdover on the reticule).
@millerusaf o ok i get it
@bobiscool308 In the military, we use the metric system when talking about distances a lot (i.e meter, kilometers, etc).
@Jesses001 For what I use this rifle for, the lack of shell deflector/dust cover doesn't bother me, or the performance of the rifle itself. For target shooting, basic self defense and basic hunting, this rifle will work. If the field conditions are rough, I'll use my M16A4 build rather than this setup.
@civilianmarksman The hold over is about 2 feet (the distance it takes to raise a radio to my mouth to call in an airstrike).
lol
There is a saying "Fear the man that only has one gun because he knows how to use it". I will get to know everything about my firearms and shoot them out to what ever range I am able to at my local ranges. I can't wait to learn about the effect of bullet weights and different manufacturers rounds, it just seems like an adventure.
How is the lack of dust cover and shell deflector working out for you with that rifle? I am trying to determine how importent these two features are, because you can reduce the price a good deal of a rifle by leaving those out. I personaly use NCStar tatical sets for optics with budget projects since you can get a decent mill dot or P4 reticule from them for a low price.
great tip man, but just wondering why do you use meters and not yards?
now lets say you wanted to hit a 55 gal drum at 11 miles? whats the hold over for that?
….lol
nice vid brother.
So your just telling us to swag it ?
