The msr isnt great but it is not bad
. More than acceptable accuracy for any self defense distance or "combat accuracy" for precision thats a hard pass obviously. At that point just save up 2 x the money for the msr and wait for a sig lvpo to go on sale you will enjoy that much more than any magnifier ive seen 
Honestly just building a ar is cheaper then buying. You also can get things your wanting.

Hey brother what’s your issues with the Sig MSR combo?
I have a sig MSR and its ok for range stuff but it doesnt have a shake awake feature so not great when you need to go to work right away

A budget build doesn't have cheap knock of accessories, you just don't put them on it at all… That crap isn't necessary anyway
