Something I don't hear talked about a lot, but I'd take a base 7A on a handgun over an X300. the X300 (to me) seems very rifle focused. The beam is super tight with a lot of throw. Not much flood with it. the 7A lights up a larger area around you so you don't have to necessarily be aiming directly at a person to see them. 7A is definitely superior for clearing a building or any CCQ scenario. Also, the X300 is so bright its pretty blinding reflecting off interior walls
