  1. Still not sold on the 1/8 twist Hornady is promoting. If it’s pushing close to the same size & weight projectiles as the 8.6 blk it should have a faster twist. Even with a 1/5 twist Hornady traditional cup and core bullets should not explode.

  2. Awesome!

My favorite guys all in one place, within spitting distance of one of the universities I attended there in Booneville, MO!

I went to NMMI before that though, GO BRONCOS!!!

I wish Kemper were still in Booneville.

  3. I get that 338 arc will work in an ar15, but it is not optimal for it. The bolt face and magazines have always turned me off from the other "ar15 cartridges." The 6arc even has 2 load data sets for bolt and gas guns where the gas load is weaker. The dissent is an ar10 frame if I remember right. If you're going with these alternatives cartridges, guns like this will do better. I think that's why the mk47 is so popular. I hope the lighter small frame ar10s like the SRAR, POF, and others, will follow CMMG's lead and offer these options.

  4. For an industry crying about not enough components to make ammunition, and needing to raise prices because of it, you sure do find enough to make new boutique cartridges. Oh well, you need a new gun to fit that cartridge. What a scam.

  5. Innovation is needed but NATO components should not be changed all at once. Barrel is obvious but mags and bolt are a tough sell for the common man. 300 blkout, 8.6 blkout, and 6mm max should top of the list for modern gas gun cartridge. 6.5 creedmoore and 300 prc are another convo but I will mention just to cover bases.

  6. If only 9×39 has gotten this much attention when it came state side. Guess we can settle for this second place cartridge as it's better than 300blk (which the russians found out over half a century ago).
