In this video, we go over the VKTR VK-1 and what makes it one of the smoothest shooting AR-15s on the market. For starters, the VK-1 is piston operated with a self-regulating gas system and features the VKTR BCG that further helps minimizing gas blowback. This makes for a rifle that is a great suppressor host that needs no adjustments made when going from suppressed & unsuppressed, different shooting conditions, different loads, etc. As stated in the video, you can get just the VKTR BCG for you current direct impingement AR15 but just know, it must be the direct impingement version, (not piston.)

Noticed the OSS moved ejection forward quite a bit, more so than it usually does on a regular 'DI'. Also the self regulating piston seems to vent a lot of gas like a jet through the handguard.🤔
At this point I'm really suspicious of this rifle's performance on non-flow cans, especially on some of the high backpressure ones. Most demo/review thus far were done with an OSS/Hux… Why bother with a piston AR if you have a flow through? 😂
I have the same HXQD556Ti mainly on an 10.3 MK18(also used on 16'' DI, 16'' 13'' X95), and it not only didn't change the ejection as much as on this VKTR, but also have had zero issues on gas to the face shooting indoors.
I’ve yet to really see anyone on YT shoot these with any can other than a Huxworx and they still seem over gassed based on the ejection pattern. There is a reason why LWRC started offering an adjustable version of their gas piston system.
No accuracy test ? No groups? For over 2K USD, I'd expect ~MOA with decent Match ammo at least…
