Matt rules
MATT!
Now do this video on an AK47
I personally have never seen an AR-15 firing pin break but I have seen them wear down to the point you would start to get light primer strikes and it wouldn't touch the feeler gauge when inspected. But these were military rifles with massive round counts well into the thousands if not tens of thousands.
I got two rounds down my BD15 has never done me wrong 😂
Think this is the only channel I’ve been on that won’t show gun disassembly there’s videos of taking apart guns all over YouTube not throwing off on this channel there definitely some of the smartest gun people I’ve seen
Gas ring worn out much faster if suppressed. Mine failed around 500rd.
The 3 gas rings in the bolt wear out faster then any other part.
In my experience, the highest wear item in an AR is the ammunition. That part wears damn fast.
I think an endurance test is a great idea
You should do a similar video on striker fired handguns. For example,
my Sig P365XL had a trigger bar spring failure after only 4000 rounds. Also, Sig recommends replacement of certain parts after 5000 rounds. I’m sure many folks are not aware of this type of stuff for handguns.
Good rundown. Thank you.
What wears on a piston drive AR? I don't think my BCG has spring in it. It definitely doesn't have impingement o-rings.
that’s why people turn to AKs and M14s for robustness. Since the majority of the gun is welded/stamped together. Less parts, less points of failure, more longevity.
Im just now noticed Matt an Jason wear earrings…🤔 just never noticed it before.
Could have been a 30 second video. Keep an extra bcg, and all springs. Done
AR= cuntgun
I'm just curious, "witness marks"? Are we talking about torque stripe? Or a different method that is essentially the same thing.
Have a backup part kit always available
As an electrician, my klein 3/4 locknut wrench works on the castle nut. Might be a little lighter than carrying full sets of tools all the time.
Now let Matt do this same thing to an AK where everything is riveted. Interesting comparison I'd think. Few screws, few detents. It would be fun.
I’ll tell you what wears out our patients with our government and it’s gun laws
Cam pin? …Bueller? 🤔
I’ve had two cmmg firing pins break on me really fast. One after only around 50 rounds. Other one around 400-500 rounds.. I quit buying cmmg firing pins
I would say the barrel too
Just list the parts. Cut the bull.
Charging handle broke on my RF ar15
✊🏿
Table 2 qualifications at Camp Pendleton, I had a bolt lug sheer off my M16a4 and cause a barrel obstruction. Cleared it the barrel, cleaned the weapon, and qualified the following week with a new bolt in the same rifle.
Wouldn’t red Locktite work on the castle nut?
Did he really say, “you see deez nutz?”
Good info.
I'm learneding
SSSOOO basically everything on an AR
That test really only works depending on the type of gas rings , right?
Only part ever broke was disconnect. Titanium firing pins
