We armor a variety of weapons at the shop, but by in large we work on AR-15s the most! Applying heat and the proper torque ensures that we remove and reinstall components to the high standard we are known for in the Susquehanna Valley.

Arent barrels heat treated?
I have to cut off D ring collar to get the armors wrench on there better
Mine wouldn't even come off with a torch like that ,I ended up using acetylene torch and get nut red and still took 3 whacks with a 3lb hammer.
Had the same Problem. God damed barrel nut won't move even after exesive heating. I used my armorers tool and pressed it against the barrel nut, a friend used a rod to lengthen the tool and slowly but forcefull pressing the damn thing comes off.. Greetings from Germany..
I was able to remove a stuck barrel nut with some really hot water. The one that you boil in the kettle pot. I did that and poured it slowly on the barrel nut and it came off without much of a fuss.
I have never needed a torch for anything in my 60 years… Can't believe I Gotta buy a torch just to remove one single barrel nut. Thanks for the video.
I tried this and it’s still wont come off. I will keep trying. Thanks for the video.
Will this work for other barrel nuts aswell?
