That's a very reasonable argument against having a dust cover here in the US. Not a lot of situations most people would be dealing with here that would need one.

Really cool gun, but I’ll keep my Aero Precision EP-9 that I built for a quarter of the price. I would consider a $2000+ AR-15 for home defense or shtf gun, but I don’t really see the purpose of it for a pcc, unless you are using it for competitions.

I own several CMMG rifles. They are definitely quality made. Very satisfied with their performance. But there is no way I am dropping 2k+ on a 9mm. But next to my Zastavas, my CMMG's are my favorites.

Which kinds of ammo would support the extra fps you get out of an 16" in regards to self defense?
Before recommandating it for self defense you might wonna check up on ammo compatability first.
Most self defense ammo are rated for 5-8" barrel will not expand properly at the exceeded velocity of an 16"

What kind of grouping were you getting? On my Resolute with a 1-10x, I was still getting like a 10" group at 50yd. Maybe I just suck. Cheap 115gr 9mm. Same ammo on my jp5 got like a 4" group with a 1x @ 50yd though so… Also, in regards to the "glock mag carbines can be finicky" I managed to kill a SGM magazine in my Resolute the first time I used it. The SMG magazines were a little sloppy and allowed you to over insert them and I closed the bolt on it and destroyed the top of the magazine. Fail me.

Visually, the forward grip seems like it is exactly in the way for Ms. Outlaw's support hand. I would bet that if it were removed, the felt weight of the gun would be improved. Shooting extremely well with a lot of endurance with a gun that is perceived as heavy.
