Who is Ron Spomer
For 44 years I’ve had the good fortune to photograph and write about my passion – the outdoor life. Wild creatures and wild places have always stirred me – from the first flushing pheasant that frightened me out of my socks in grandpa’s cornfield to the last whitetail that dismissed me with a wag of its tail. In my attempts to connect with this natural wonder, to become an integral part of our ecosystem and capture a bit of its mystery, I’ve photographed, hiked, hunted, birded, and fished across much of this planet. I’ve seen the beauty that everyone should see, survived adventures that everyone should experience. I may not have climbed the highest mountains, canoed the wildest rivers, caught the largest fish or shot the biggest bucks, but I’ve tried. Perhaps you have, too. And that’s the essential thing. Being out there, an active participant in our outdoor world.

Ended up using a laser thats a different color than the reticle. Did it at dusk/evening so i could see the laser better.
This isn't anything new.
Just remove the bolt and charging handle.
Can I do this with iron sights?
Remove my upper…on my AR-15? IbwishbI had thought of that, I wasted so many rounds before getting on paper.
Laser sighting insert rounds tho? Much faster?
I like to do that with a yard light at night…depending on your neighborhood.
Get a laser boresight for your AR. Much easier!
My Dad, from New Guinea in WWII, taught me to take a piece of paper, stick it in the bolt, light directed on it, to look down the barrel.
There are laser bullets now
I just recently sighted in a new hunting rifle, best idea I had was going and buying one of the cardboard project displays, there 3 ft by 4ft, used some of the orange sticker targets, makes an excellent target for 100 yard zero.
I miss shooting my M-16A2. But that was 1984. And I had great eyesight. I missed Series high shooter by 5 points. It is the ONE talent I had…I Could shoot.
I recommend 25yds to start with. Then go from there.
Ron, I really appreciate you. What do you think about using a laser bore sight?
