Maybe indoors a PCC would be better for hearing protection The AR15 is pretty loud and better for outdoors.

If you think a rifle with no hearing pro in your house is going to be loud, the street-sweeper shotgun gang gonna be in for a LOUD awakening if they have to shoot that thing in a hallway
My neighbors would disagree that an Ar15 would be the best for home defense. They live almost a mile away, and 5.56 rounds could STILL exit my house, and kill some poor schmuck in their sleep.

I’ll stick with my 12 gauge. Generally one 00 buck puts them on the ground. Most self defense shootings is2 rounds or less so if you have to reload a Berretta shotgun you ether need a lot more time on the range of maybe you shouldn’t screw over a drug cartel….just saying

You are only good as good you've trained, repeatedly, on each firearm you own.
