  1. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks it's overpriced. You can buy the MacroStream for $45, same performance, or a Thrunite Saber CW for $16.99!!

  2. Thanks for the review. I'm waiting and hoping for Nitecore to make some more flat models. They have so many iterations of the keychain flashlight, I'm hoping they expand in the flat genrr beyond the edc27. I'd love to see a flat pocket edc version of the TIP SE, maybe twice in length and weight, with a real pocket clip. Lighter, shorter, simpler and less tactical than the edc 27, but like that one, built for pocket carry.
May this new streamlight xt be the first of more flat lights to be released by manufacturers in the next year.

  3. P for me. The Wedge seemed nice (simple UI) but found it a little too big and too pricey. A smaller version would have been great. But the XT is not what most people are looking for I think. And no protective caps on the charging ports is so weird: some brands even throw a second one in the box.

  4. I love how simple the original wedge is. Easy to deploy and turn on. No learning curve or complicated ui. I was hoping they would make it slightly shorter and add a half stop on the switch for a lower lumen mode as 300 is too bright for retaining night vision. That would of been the perfect light for me and would be worth the extra money.

  5. It would be hard for a flashlight brand outside of Olight to get my business anymore because Olight actively courted me as a customer and every time I shop with them I get a freebie thrown in. Like I just got the ILR Pro thrown in with my last purchase. I have a bunch of free keychain size flashlights they gave me over the years. Also, I love Olight's UI. My main flashlight is the S2R Baton 2 (upgraded versions called the Baton 3) and it does it all, and I never forget how to get to all the modes. (Except for the timer. I don't know what I'd use the timer for. lol) I'm about to get a diffuser from Etsy for it so it works better as a lantern, too. Anyway, I'm an Olight boy because they wanted my business the most. One time they were slow in shipping and they included an apology note and a microfiber cloth as a gift. Little things like that work for me!

  6. The MacroStream usb rechargeable is also 500 lm and 50 lm but the charge port is covered. It might take up less space and is half the price. Don’t see the advantage of the wedge xt.

Edit: nvm just realized macrostream is still micro usb
