Mod Minute: Installing a Geissele MK8 Super Modular Rail

Geissele Automatics has the solution for this age-old problem: you want to install a new accessory, on your AR-15, maybe only temporarily, but you don’t have a mounting point for it. Their MK8 Super Modular Rail has FIVE (5!) full-length rows of M-LOK® slots, and a big Picatinny rail on top. Plus, it looks badass. Unlike a lot of free-floating tactical AR-15 handguards, Geissele made the MK8 Super Modular Rail easy to install, too. You do have to perform the right steps in the right order, and we show you ALL of them in only 60 seconds.

  1. Now show a video taking it off with out a pry bar and scratching it and the receiver all to shit. No really, how the heck do you get it off, especially the ones with the indexing tangs

  2. The crazy thing is I just saw a video from Brownells talking about how you don't have to bed an AR barrel (apply locktite to the barrel nut). Isn't that what they did in the first few seconds or am I mistaken?

  4. $300 for a rail and they no longer give you the gas block or the wrench. Shame on Bill Geissele. Seems the company is money hungry. Same reason they originally wanted $21 for an $8 D&H magazine.
