  1. You don't need a longer front sight if you don't have a detachable carry handle. The F-Marked front sights are for the detachable carry handles because the rear sight sits up a little higher. If it had needed a longer front sight the Marines would have added one when they designed the A2. The A2 rear sight was their doing.

  2. Im on a tight budget. Got an Armalite Eagle 15. Low shelf reciever is the reason for the purchase. Its a close range useful tool. I want to build a 20in barrel 500 meter tack driver something that can hit a grapefruit everytime regardless of shooter position. Can you recommend a complete upper to start with and build around?

  3. Are you going to use the RIBZ? That's how I setup my M16A2 and I will also use it on my XM4 (I converted my Bushmaster XM15 A2 to a XM4 Clone). For those that don't know how the RIBZ setup works here is a link https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/RIBZ_____Revised_Improved_Battlesight_Zero__now_with_down_loadable_50_yard_zeroing_target_/18-328143/ for some reason the pictures are gone, but the instructions are easy to follow (just remember if your using a Detachable Carry Handle double all the adjustments so -4 is -8, this is because Detachable Carry Handles use 1/2 MOA and A2 uppers are 1 MOA)

  4. Customer service makes or breaks a company in my opinion. Every company is going to make a mistake at some point, but to me its all about how they rectify that mistake that makes me a more loyal customer. Building that trust if there is an issue.

  5. You Started to Talk about the 80gr Bullets being to Long well guess WHAT there are 80gr Bullets for Bolt Action RIfles and for AR15 that will work in the mags! the M855 was NEVER Designed to go into a 1/9 it was designed for a 1/7 that is why Colt put it in the M16A2 when it was Adopted by the Army and USMC in the Mid-80s along with the Austrian made SS109 which was adopted by NATO as the Standard Issue Round for all NATO Countries for the 5.56 NATO SPEC!
Look UP: 11W3-5-5-81 Field Manual 23-9 Dept of the Army M16A1 and M16A2 Rifle MArksmanship it will give you a Great insight on how the AR Platform Work and the History behind it!. By the way also look up Mk-262 Mod 0 that is the 77gr Sierra MatchKing that is a OTM which is a dollar or about a dollar fifty per round but that is not Plinking ammo that is Hunting and Self Defense Ammo we use it in the Sandbox to terminate pest with both Mk12s at ranges out to 500 yards and with Mk18 at CQB ranges and it works Great in AR mags I keep a Magpul P60 drum loaded with in my a 16 inch mid-length Carbine that I build and a coupled Pmags in my 11.5 inch SIg M400 PDW that I keep in my night stand Great Ammo Black HIlls and IMI from Israel also makes a version that is even hotter than Black Hills that Midwayusa puts on sale all the time!

You can add MagTech to the ones that make the 77gr Sierra MatchKing for the AR!

  6. Sir, You need to STOP Talking out of your ASS! a 1/9 5.56 Rifle twist is best with 40-62gr bullets and the reason that Most Companies have Switched to 1/7 is because it Optimized for 69-90gr bullets. The 1/8 is the best compromise of the two with 62-77gr bullet weights!
    https://www.nrablog.com/articles/2017/3/how-to-pick-the-right-round-for-your-ar15-barrel/
55gr came out during Vietnam when it first came out it was 1/14 then 1/12 in the M16-A1 by the time the M16-A2 came out in the Mid 1980s it went down to 1/7 because of the 62gr SS109 or M855 Ammo before that the 55gr ammo was known as the M193. The 1/9 was sold for Police Dept and Civilians because it does not stabilize the 55gr bullet as well at the 1/12 and thus it keep the Military Rifles and LEO/CIvilian rifles lines Separate. Colt had purchased the Patent from Armaile but after the initial exclusivity period was over companies like Bushmaster, Armalite and Olympus were able to sell AR-15 in the Late 70s, All I was a teenager in mid-80s but I remember reading back issues of GUns and Ammo that Talked about how Armalite and Bushmaster were coming out with AR15 to compete with Colt but at the time everyone went NUTS when the 1/7 came out in the AR15-A2 from Colt to go along with the New Colt M16-A2 Rifle that the Army had Purchased.
During this TIme ARs were Also Making their Mark at Shooting Competitions like Camp Perry and the US Military Shooting Teams where the M1 Garand and M14 had been the Choice of many of the Top Competitors but new Rifles with Bull Barrels and Accurized Triggers( Triggers that are Stoned within a 1/100 inch of perfection) There were no Geissele Triggers back then.
Did YOu Check your Front SIght to Make Sure that your Sighted in Correctly? A Point of Aim/Impact issue is usually a Front SIght is too Low and Bushmaster has a Tendency to put them there or you might just NOT know how to setup your Sights Correctly!

  7. My Delton 20" upper is 1×9 not chrome lined but I do believe they offer t chrome lined. Brownells offers 1×12 20" barrels, and White Oak offers a Match Grade A2 upper

  8. My wife's 223 wylde ar shoots about 1 moa with 55 gr ammo it has 1:8 twist barrel my 300 blk ar shoots .5 moa both are builds from groundzero the 300blk has is a ballistic advantage gun the 223 is there cheap hog hunter set up have full floated barrel rise armament single stage 3.5 pound triggers cheap scopes (vortex Crossfire's bdc) use them to shoot coyote in the field near the house mostly. I'd say first thing to do is put a trigger in it get away from the mil spec garbage and do a full floated hang guard and you will be at what you want.
