The Eotech EXPS3-4 offers shooter a 1x optic with built in bullet drop compensator (BDC) designed to accurately place shots out to 600 yards. This makes the exps 3-4 an extremely versatile optic as you can rapidly engage targets up close with the 1x capability and then if you add a magnifier you can push this optic to distances much further than a traditional red dot without a BDC. This bdc is specifically calibrated for M855 ammunition out of a 14.5″ barrel (2900 fps). In this video I test how this optic pairs up with .223 pressure 62gr ammo out of an 11.5″ barrel. Given this ammo and barrel combo is drastically different than the reticle calibration it will be interesting to see if we can use this optic to make hits at the BDC distances of 400, 500 & 600 yds.

Try zeroing your 300yd subtention at 300yards/36 yards, then you will ride the optic parabola optimally.

This awesome I have an 11.5 that I run 75 and 77 gr mainly and it's a tack driver but everyone I know calls me crazy when I tell them I can get consistent Hits out to 500 with the acss pegasus 3x magnifier!

I wonder if soft body armour would stop that 22 cal bullet at the 500…It doesn't have much energy left…I think I would rather have the 14.5" barrel, but the 11.5" is definitely handy. Great comparison.
That was a great illustration of how barrel length effects distance. I would love to see you test the 300BLK in a similar scenario.
Definitely do the trueing video. So you can ring the steel a lot farther out then you can expect dynamic terminal effect on flesh

Great video! It would be fun to see you true the bdc on this or maybe an LPVO. Maybe even have a little fun with it and put a BDC optic on a precision gun and see how well it runs with a full power cartridge.

Great shooting for 3x magnifier ! I have an EXPS 3-0 on my Tavor X95. I bought the magnifier as well and it is quite cloudy. The only complaint I have against the Eotech is the weight.
