ACOG: The optic that keeps on giving (scoping).
I suggest you try Hornady 250gr for 450 Bushmaster. Federal makes great ammo but for some reason is not very accurate in the 450 AR platform.
It’s not overpowered. The lower speed will cause less meat damage. The higher weight will make it pass straight through, so more places to lose blood pressure from
As a South African AR based cartridges usually don’t interrest me. But I like the affordable options concepts and the 450 bushmaster will make a damn good bush pig rifle.
Gotta try the 250 gr ftx.
Shoot MOA in my BCA
I run the .450bm here in lower Michigan. I'm able to cut clover leaf holes at 100 yards. Stacking rounds in an inch group. It does great on deer as I finally got a drop a deer with it this past fall. Exit wound was the size of my fist. The ironic thing is that it's from a rifle that understandable gets a ton of hate. The Mossberg Patriot xD I got lucky with mine and got one that actually groups.
Awesome channel, keep up the great work. You seem to cover an array of different content. I’m a Former USAF Combat Arms Instructor, and I have say, you know your shit.
I thought the .450 had a thicker case. Based on the video all I need is my upper and ammo? I want to make sure I don’t spend on something that may ruin my equipment
Just get a .450 bushmaster and keep your other set-up. Do not comply.
Used a 450 for the first time this year on white-tail, and it puts them down. Does a number on vitals
I'm pretty sure that you are not the only person making the decision to go long.
To be compared with the 350 Legend (a terrible name imo) ; better balistic far less recoil same result, unless you are hunting milk jug…
.350 legend gang
I love TROG, my 450 Bushmaster AR, but the hogs here in Texas not so much. Some of the 450 Bushmaster barrels like mine have a 5/8×32 thread pitch and there doesn't seem to be a lot of muzzle brakes for them, Acme Machine out of Indiana has several to choose from, some around the $20 to $25 range, even for stainless. I bough a black one last year and it was only $9.99, but they have gone up in price.
450 Bushmaster has been very popular here in Ohio for the past 2-3 year's due to Ohio hunting regulations pertaining to straight wall cartridges.
Do not comply!
Just built a 7.5 inch 12.7×42. Not much kick at all using a brace no padding
Anyone know how thick that ar500 steel was?
I just sold my .300 and bought a .458 socom.
This guy misses the whole point. His thought process is just change the caliber and add a rifle length upper so you can keep your pistol brace, tell me without telling me the ignorant thought process of this.
What are your thoughts on hunting with 6.5 Grendel or 264 LBC?
pigs, the 450 is nearly ideal for swamp hunting large wild pigs.
“AR-15 struggles with accuracy”… please explain more??? Circa 1959 perhaps but now???
I was in a shop the other day. A guy brought in an AR pistol with a brace to sell and he had no idea about the brace rule. All the employees were kinda on edge telling him about it.
That's a fixed stock ole son 😂
Need to hold onto it sturdy brother
Don't blame Bear Creek for your crappy group. I have several Bear Creek uppers on palmetto state lowers. If you get a bad one they will make it good.
Since adding a brace, I have been able to take White Rhino and Elephant.👍
Maryland has periods for straight wall and bottle neck cartridges…but bottleneck have shorter periods and only in certain counties. Straight wall is all season in all counties. 350 legend and 450 bm are the go to's. I gotta be different though so looking for a 458 hamr
I chose a 14.5" pinned and welded 50 beowulf, a tiny bit less power than 450 bush but upto a 500gr bullet
I wonder how many fudds turned in their AR pistols to the police?🤔 Surely there's one out there somewhere🤣Some rich guy bought one because it looked cool and doesn't really consider the money spent and is too ignorant to know he can just remove the brace if he wants to keep it.
Almost everyone in Michigan that have to use straight wall cartridges for deer use it. They group well enough and they always make for a short easy track.
Did you buy that Magpul stock brand new or did someone just give it to you? Its missing the screw that holds it in place. I mean, you did put it on wrong in the first place, but still.
If I could like a million times, I would. This sounds so good, I only bought one, cause they said it was OK TO HAVE. (Bam) you’re a Felon. The ATF stands for. Angry Teen Fight NOW
I love the 450 . Deer hunting . Best guns 100 yards no problem . They make a 350 also
An upper for $250? In what realm of the 5th dimension are you shopping? Whatever…
Ar 15 often struggles with accuracy… wtf you talkin about its not an ak the ar 15 is hella accurate. Youre tossing baseballs its not the ar platforms fault its not sub moa
ive had a 450 for a few years and it has never seen a single round of factory ammo, that stuff is way too pricey for me.
Quick question to all; When building a 450 BM with a 16" barrel, what have you found to be a good buffer weight??? I've heard both sides to go heavier or lighter, due to the gas differences with the .223/5.56… Any recommendations?
I just watched your review of axil ear pro and you're not even using them or the silicone plugs you mentioned in that vid.😮
I built one and thought it was great until the 350 legend came out. Now, the 450 is for sale. The 350 is much more enjoyable to shoot, and ammo is cheaper to, and the results are the same..just my opinion .
I got way better accuracy with Hornady Black and hand loads. I was getting 10" groups 400 yards.
Lol I have only had one person in my family get scoped, and it was with my 18" 450 Bushmaster. I changed out the buffer which made the 450 feel more like an AK from a 10 gauge like it originally felt like shooting. Along with adding a large pad to my stock.
I built a 450 a couple of years ago and it is awesome!! 250 grain bullet has given me a one hole at 100 yards. I love it
