  1. PSA. I hope everyone that watches your videos leaves you a comment, hits the like button, subscribes and stomps the notification bell. This will help the super computer realize there are people that love what you do and will help you pop up in more peoples feeds. Even though YouTube doesn't think anyone should learn about optics. Lets get Joe to 100,000 subscribers. He has earned it. No bullshit.

  2. As a Canadian that does construction, we also use inches for measuring. Atleast from what Iโ€™ve seen in my limited experience as a construction worker. In fact I often use both systems of measurement for different things. Sometimes it might make sense to measure something in grams or ounces, sometimes millilitres or litres, it really depends. If someoneโ€™s asked me my height Iโ€™d say 6 foot 2 inches, and I have no idea how many centimetres that is. Itโ€™s good to be familiar with both systems. Just thought someone might find that interesting.

  3. As a (proud) immigrant to the US this … thing blows my mind.๐Ÿคฏ
Not only do I have all the conversion problems but I also second guess myself if my new MIL Leupold matches a hypothetical MOA setting …๐Ÿ˜…

  4. While I understand what you are trying to relay, there are some inaccuracies that need to be addressed. Minute of angle has nothing to do with the imperial or metric systems of measurement. 1 MOA at 100 yards is 1.047 inches, or 26.6mm. It is a method of measuring the angles of a circle and its deficiency (if you can call it that) is that you can't get a precise pie measurement. Another way to look at this is 1 MOA is 2 cm wide at 69 meters. Milliradians have nothing to do with the metric system, even though the metric system hs incorporated the method into the system, they are simply 1,000 of a radian, and there linear width at any distance can be measured in inches or mm, and are often done in both. The difference is in precision and convenience. A 1/4 inch MOA optic moves less than a .1 mil click at 100 yards (6.35mm vs .36 inch.) However, tacticians figured out that mils are easier for artillery, because you can get around pie, and everyone wants to replace their lack of self-confidence and low libido with thoughts of being Gunny Hathcock, so we had to learn how to kill a deer with milliradians, and reduce the precision of our optical instruments.

  5. My last year with a m16 a-2 at 350m target I figured out to aim at where the right hand would be if the target extended it to it's 10 oclock position and was getting 10 out of 10 hits after that. The post Vietnam barrel on that weapon WOULD NOT ZERO as confirmed by the range instructor. But by then I had a pretty good clue at rifle shooting and scored sharpshooter that day during a light rain (in Hawaii we called it liquid sunshine). Since then I have learned pistols (the army found it useful to teach me to clean a 1911) … red dots for rifles and pistols … shooting both eyes open for pistols … Now I am learning to use a rifle scope. BTW the tankers in our unit told me the 1911's barrels were so worn out there was NO hope for accuracy and a little fudging on the scoring is the only reason anyone qualified with them. The US Army was pretty stingy about replacing barrels back then. on the M16 a2 a left shooting person used a bent stripper clip in the dust cover hinge as a brass deflector.

  6. You lost me when you started pointing out how hard headed and stupid we are. You sound like the type of guy who would let his black friend bang his wife so he can have less guilt. Get on with the facts. We all know we do things differently here and wrong, depending on your perspective. But, why the hell are you pandering a world where most people can't even own firearms? Appeal to Americans. In sales, we have a very important saying: "know your audience." Appeal to the audience, don't alienate them.

  7. I like what you said all the world does work with metric except USA they are hard head, I try to train many employee how to use the metric it is much easier all them them told.
{Can converted us please,} so I have to converted everything to them, I didn't mind I get pay well only waist their time, even the owner the company told me non of them finish heigh school.
I posted the table for conversing the metric to inches, most the tools come in metric so you have no choice to convert everything.

  8. Metric system is so much easier than the imperial system but Americans refuse to even try, they just shut their brain off. Base 10 so no fractions, conversions are easy and it just makes sense.
