Of the vast array of mounts out there for anchoring a light to your AR-15, Bravo Company’s BCMGunfighter Modular Scout Mount is one of the best. It offers flexibility in positioning the light, it’s extremely secure, and it’s not expensive. Brownells Gun Tech™ Caleb Savant shows us step-by-step how to install the BCM mount on an AR-15 M-LOK® handguard. (Bravo Company also offers a scout mount for folks who chose the KeyMod™ side of the accessory mount “format war”.) As its name indicates, the Scout Mount is designed for use with SureFire M300 / M600 Scout Lights, but as you can see, Caleb used his to mount a Streamlight ProTac with no problems. Do a bit of test-fitting to figure out the best place to locate the mount / light for your needs. The mount offsets the light from the handguard, so you have flexibility in where the light sits. If your handguard has M-LOK slots in the “1:00” or “1:30” position, you can neatly tuck the light very close to the ‘guard and the bore axis. Caleb puts his BCM Scout Mount on the left side, so a right-handed shooter can easily reach the tailcap switch of the light with the support (left) hand.

I have an old Arisaka mount I was gonna try on an Aero m4e1 11.5" build but this BCM gunfighter mount looks like it may get closer. My rail is made like that one. Appreciate the videos as always 👌🏻🐍🇺🇸

I'm liking that light….How much does it weigh…..I have the stream light hlx laser light and that light is obsurdly heavy for a light 🤣…..
Also I think in this video you may have also brought up another possible myth…..that possible myth being is that its "mandatory" you run your light on your dominant side …..I've been told by "tactical shooters" to only buy a light with pressure pad so I can run my light on the dominant side….
By chance do you know of that mount would fit a OLight Odin or Odin Mini?
I use the bcm mount on all my lights except the new surefire lights with the swivel mounts. Great mount.
Also I prefer not to use pressure pads on my rifles to avoid accidental activation. However with shorter pistol and sbr rails that don't have much room on the off hand side I put the light on the primary side and add a pressure pad on a cloud defensive mount. Although if it's super short I just use something like the streamlight rm1 mounted on the top front of the rail.

I love having the Surefire 640df on the swivel mount. On the geissele super modular rail, it ticks right up in the 1-2oclock position between the rails.
