  4. It's not my right to refuse to comply, but my obligation as a free American citizen protected by the constitution and bill of rights. Any unconstitutional rule or law or regulations that is imposed on the people is null and therefore unlawful and your obligation to openly refuse to comply or obey the unconstitutional law as said from Thomas Jefferson. I will not comply period and I will never pay an agency to exercise my constitutional rights either. Also the ATF is not a elected body by the people that have the ability to make or change laws period. That's why we have the US Congress and they can't violate the constitution either.

Other than the 2nd Amendment issues, their big issue is that it was posted by ATF that they were ok, and they had no say on accessories and millions were sold, and a violation is a prisonable charge. They can't make law. There's no getting around that. The newly in power Republicans are already on this.

    I've got lots of comments back from this post and, yes, I have resisted these idiots at ATF.

    At 75 years old, I am dead serious about my defiance. I will take as many agents with me as I can, before I am killed.

    As a former NRA President said: "OUT OF MY COLD DEAD FINGERS !!!!"

    "We the People" already have these RIGHTS given to us by God and they are NOT a gift from government.

    The government, by the Constitution, LIMITS what government is allowed by us, to do.

    THEY ARE NOT IN CHARGE !!!!

    As for me, government will try and there will be many agents that WILL NOT be going home to their families.

    Too bad for them if they screw with this NASTY OLD BASTARD!!!!!!

    For each brace you own, remove it from the firearm and purchase an air soft or gas pellet pistol that is the correct product/model for the brace. These non-firearms are indistinguishable from real firearms and your family has a new shooting sport. They are powerful. Enjoy them! Start practicing with your kids in the garage or woods. Great entertainment, cheap training and KEEP them on the air soft or bb pistols. That way you don't have to do ANYTHING to remain within the BATFE rules on pistol braces and you get to keep everything you have purchased. Problem solved, I started years ago. Got my grand kids one or two Ronis w/RedWolf Glocks. I don't think the BATFE cares about non-firearms and has no such jurisdiction even if they did. Your (legal) constructive intent is clearly evident. You want to safely shoot BB’s Our priority as law abiding citizens is to – OBEY THE LAW – PERIOD. We love our police officers. Remember though that laws also have easements and legal exclusions in sub-sections. As Americans we are well within our rights and on good legal ground by abiding by the law! The BATFE has changed their mind so many times on the legality of pistol braces that it is hard to keep up, I admit it but it is a duty to follow their legal direction to the best of our ability. Earlier in history, this same agency was enforcing a ban on alcohol, their name derived from it. This enforcement yielded huge prison sentences and fines just for possession or transport. The feds were not lenient! The only thing we could do was to obey by not consuming this product but then . . . . . This same agency enforced the law set down by congress when prohibition was overturned. Obviously we all relish our right to again have a cold beer or a wine cooler with a neighbor. Light at the end of the tunnel. Do we feel guilty about it ?

    NOPE – the law allows it. The legality of owning non-firearms with braces or even stocks is much like ending prohibition, well within our rights and should be cherished in the same way. Happy shooting! //ji

  18. I’m a gun advocate and retired LEO. I believe in the 2nd Amendment and the rights we all have under it. I believe the Federal Government overstepped here and other places in the past. With that being said, I think it is ridiculous to take a rifle and call it a pistol based on the split on the piece at the end of the buffer tube. I cringe at work-a-rounds like bump stocks to skirt full auto rules. We don’t want vague shady rules from the government. Fight it the right way in court and at the ballot box. Be safe. Be right and be accurate.

  23. Incorrect comments like yours is what the ATF is using to justify their rule “because of a piece of plastic on the end of your rifle”. These guns are handguns. If it’s a rifle and the barrel is less than 16 inches, it is an SBR and illegal under the NFA.

  35. When you sbr and register your rifle you need to engrave it with your information as the "maker/manufacturer". Do these pistols also need to be engraved with your information if you register them? If so isn't the atf admitting it isn't an sbr? It only becomes an sbr if you change it becoming the new "maker/manufacturer".

  40. My short, Constitutional, law-abiding answer is I have no intention of doing anything differently. The ATF is on record for years stating braces were legal and allowed. Suddenly, and without merit or legal process, they've changed the rules and expect every legal gun owner to shape-shift their weaponry to comply. ~ SI VIS PACEM, PARA BELLUM ~
