  1. If you put an AR in a sock, and swing and hit somebody with it, you could technically say it’s an “assault weapon”. But you could say the same about a sock full of nickels, or a billiard ball, or a handful of toothpicks…

  2. Actually there is a pretty concise definition of what an "assault rifle" is. It's a carbine length[1], select fire[2] rifle chambered in an intermediate cartridge[3] fed from a detachable magazine[4]. If it fails any of those four tests it's not an assault rifle.

  3. Members of the Land of Liberalism Media, such as Geraldo when attempting to say "machine gun," are idiots. ArmaLite rifle makes up AR. It just amazes me how the mislead and uninformed idiots are allowed to vote and/or infringe upon our rights…all for their immense credulity and indoctrination into the Land of Liberalism (L.O.L.). The AR-15 is the same as all other semi-automatic rifles out there. They all shoot one bullet when you squeeze and hold the trigger. A 'fully automatic/machine gun' will continue shooting when the trigger is held while it is in full-auto mode. If they, the L.O.L., take one…they can then justify taking them all. If the AR-15 were ever banned, you can count on them going after the next 'most popular' weapon used in gun violence crimes.
