  1. I carry mine clipped in my right front pocket. It’s easy to take out when needed. Definitely a task light. Not really a defensive light, but I would like to think it’s bright enough to temporarily impair someone’s vision in the absence of other weapons.

  2. I love my wedge. It fits in my BDU leg pocket like it was made for it. It is a little bright for my application. But it was worth every penny. I work in the prison where half the time the provided flashlights are dead or not working. With this flash light all I do is shine it at the ceeling and the room is bright enough to see everything. My only complaint is when the indicator finaly shows it needs to be charged it is mostly dead . It takes a beating with no problems.
Thanks John for your videos. Grate gear review.

  3. I have really been enjoying the Streamlight Wedge personally. it grips like a microtech which is familiar to me and I feel like I'm bringing the sun to bear with that turbo switch. the LED indicator letting me know my battery and charge status was a huge feature for me as was the USB-C compatability. really the only thing I'm not a huge fan of is how long it is but it's an okay compromise in my book.

  4. I had considered the Wedge for EDC just solely as a portable light source, but as I started thinking of my light as a defensive tool I ultimately went with the Pro-Tac 2LX. 500 lumens, cylindrical for gripping overhand in a fist with thumb activation via a bottom switch, and a strike bezel. Also super affordable, think I got it for like $46 on Amazon.

  5. Streamlight destroys Surefire for the win!!… again Lol to be fair they both work but I wouldn’t change my edc carry for these either. My weird combo is an Olight Baton 2 and a Surefire scout? I think? Lol it’s an older light I upgraded, from a cop years ago. My WML’s are all Streamlight tho, any Surefire normally gets sold within a couple months.

  6. I've liked mine so far as a yard/work/utility light. Really nice for letting the dog out when it gets dark at 5pm in the winter.
Definitely not a "tactical" light but it's been small enough to actually get me to daily carry a light all the time! I can't stand the bulky lights in my pocket, especially when I've already got other EDC things floating around my pockets and waistband.

  7. Had me worried when I saw the title. Just bought the Surefire Stiletto Pro to get the brighter output over the regular Stiletto. Price is the big pain point. I think I'm still with Neil on this one after seeing the review. Whew, I did not spend on the wrong light.

I'm also challenged with not enough pockets at this point since the light is now competing with my POM spray and my cell phone in the left pocket. Not sure I'm ready to make the switch to tactical pants just yet…any suggestions on carrying this extra stuff as part of the EDC routine?

  8. I bought one. it's really nice for around the house or at night walking the dog. biggest suck factor if you wanted it for a defensive light is the switch isn't on the back and it creates a wall of light rather than a beam
