  1. Fuckin A man. That's impressive shooting. Imagine how much better that run would have been with a cheap magnifier in front of that dot…
It's awesome the way everybody just pushes through the inclement weather instead of running indoors and calling the match.

  2. Calm-cool-collected. The best rifle is one you don't have to think about and that Budget-Stoner delivered. Physique of a marine mammal for the win lol. πŸ‘ Please note the YT thumbs-up emoji is left-handed.
My KP-15 is a budget gun as well with KE's TiN-coated mil-spec fire controls, Radian 45Β° ambi safety and a Geissele bolt catch, all other odds and ends are CMMG. It's paired to a S&W upper with 16" A2 barrel with a FSB and carry handle rear. Magpul's carbine handguard isn't free-floated of course, but it still weighs about as much as a carbine-length carbon-fiber tube (about 8 1/2 oz.), only it's $35 instead of $300-$400. My carbine came in at almost exactly $550 and 7lbs. 9oz, with an 18650-powered flashlight on a UTG mount and a V-Tac quick-adjust sling. The non-free-floated config is good for distances that exceed my capabilities with iron sights anyways (can't see s*** past 300), so it works. More importantly the KP's classic lines lend the gun a shrunken M16 vibe, which makes me happy.

  3. Years ago I built a budget fun gun that turned out great. A retro upper builder was transitioning out of retro stuff and selling off uppers for cheap. I bought an 11.5" Commando setup with a C7-style upper (A1 carry handle + brass deflector). I traded in a crappy old pistol for a stripped lower (the pistol was so crappy that I considered that a screaming deal) and bought a milspec parts kit. Brownells had a deal on their retro chrome-plated BCGs and I snagged one of those. I put an old A1 pistol grip and a pistol brace from my parts bin on it until the eform1 came back, then I swapped out the brace for an old OG plastic carbine stock and made a sling out of a bungie cord, dog leash snap and duct tape. BOOM, HEAT clone! I've since upgraded to an ALG trigger and put a red dot on top of the carry handle, and it's become one of my favorite guns to take to the range or a match. I need to run it through a carbine class here soon.

  4. PSA has the complete Classic lower for $119.99 and $259.99 for a PSA Classic 16" upper with BC & CH. that's $379.98 + tax..If your in S.C. it free shipping to your local PSA and no transfer fee.

  5. My favorite budget build was a KP-15 mil-spec lower, PSA mid-length, free-float, pencil barrel upper, and a Primary Arms 2.5x prism scope. Out the door for like $750. Later I put a KE Arms DMR trigger on it. It shoots better than any other AR I've owned
