My Kimber Custom II TLE does not have picatinny rails so finding a flashlight laser combo was limited until I came across the Streamlight TLR-6. This light was fairly priced and what I liked the most was that I did not have to disassemble my Kimber to install. It’s a little tricky to get the light mounted, but once on, even the batteries can be changed without disturbing the sight alignment. After mounting, it took a few more minutes to fine tune the laser sights and it was good to go!

  1. Great Video for I was about to return my Streamlight TLR-6 laser/white light combo because I saw no way for it to fit. You do not show how you installed it but you said you had to twist it to fit. Indeed it took twisting and it is a perfect fit for my Kimber Full size Classic Stainless (Kimber’s original and not the Classic II – which it may or may not fit). The included written instructions do not mention twisting is necessary to install therefore it appears to be impossible to install.

  2. I wish someone would come out with one that just snaps over the trigger guard. This would be a pain on my daily carry gun, unscrew it and take it off when I go out then screw it back on when I get home. Guess I'll have to stick with the hand held till someone figures it out.

  3. it seems wrong that the laser is way under the light when it should be above it since its more ideal to have it closer to the barrel for accuracy concern in shorter ranges. but it looks worth having for the light without the need of a rail adapter
