Really wish there were more usa made lights that weren't the price of a couple hundred bucks. I usually use streamlight but I do have a couple olights. They have been great and I know their customer service is amazing.
I am a home inspector and do disaster work and for the past several years have been using a collection of Streamlights running CR123 batteries. I am slowly switching over to rechargeables and a few months ago bought an Olight Seeker 3 Pro. In the past week I bought both the Olight Arkfeld and the Streamlight Wedge. I am early in their use but the Streamlight Wedge is the first light I use because of its simplicity. Off/On/Turbo…everything you need and nothing you don’t for basic flashlight use. The Arkfeld is sort of a love/hate thing. I use the laser to point things out to clients…useful. The magnetic charging point at the base is a feature, you can use it to stick to metal and have a stationary light, freeing hands to do work. I was always sticking the battery powered Streamlights in my mouth to free my hands, not really a smart thing to do. My dislike with the Arkfeld, and Olight in general, is that the button programming is wonky. The old battery powered Streamlights are much more intuitive. The form factor for both the Wedge and Arkfeld are winners, each are more pocketable than typical round lights. Each get more work than the bigger Seeker Pro which gets used mainly when the others are charging or I want something in hand also useful as a bludgeon.
I think the streamlight is bigger on purpose. When you use your flashlight all the time having something that fits the hand and hits on ergonomics wins over something smaller. If you use it more than carry it it's the clear winner. If you carry it more than you use it the baton 3 probably wins. I'm with you on the arcfeld they missed with the bulbous charger end. The magnets in general are great though when you need to mount your light and at the tail increases that versatility. It's a real head scratcher. I've carried a lot of both streamlight and olight. Both great companies. The baton 3 is my edc. The streamlight 90 is my bicycle helmet light. They build winners.
Olight aka fancy China has proven to be junk over and over again for me. Warrior, Pl2 Pro, i5r, all stopped working in some way or another. Stick with surefire, arisaka, or streamlight at the very least.
in my country Olight just increased the price of WarriorXTurbo with 20 euros. i dont think that flashlight worth more then 130 euros. i expected the black friday to buy it. not anymore, i bought Acebeam L17, the most portable thrower. Olight is becoming like Leatherman in my country, they keep increasing their products price with 20 euros every now and then.
The other difference not mentioned: Arkfeld has a magnet on the base where as the wedge has none. Guess you could tape a magnet on the wedge and then it would have more function.
My opinion olight knocked it out of park! I finally have a flashlight I actually carry everyday! It is my true edc! Wedge was always too long in pocket! It's usefulness sells me!
great review, but that beer is nothing to be proud of. There is help available if your a alcoholic. I buried my best friend 38 years old because of alcohol. My barber lost his wife and daughter because of a drunk driver. Alcohol has 2 faces the one that's says look at me I'm cool, I'm tuff, I'm a man I'm drinking beer! The other one is celebrated at the funeral home with a lot of sad faces. My best friend died at 38 years old 4 days later his mother died from a stroke leaving is broke father to raise 3 grandsons. I hope you never see the ugly side of alcohol, please get some help

Magnet that holds it in place and strobe? Sleep timer? Lockout? Forgot to mention those about the Arkfeld.
Olight all the way , all those saying “buy American “ from phones made in china 😂

Olight glue in the two screws that retain the pocket clip. Attempted removal results in broken screws. As you unfortunately found out.
The fat end makes it magnetic lol

Like wedge better but wish it was a bit shorter. Olight magnets on they're lights ruin it for me working in a body shop. Fills up with crap too fast
Arkfeld all the way
Problem with the wedge is that it has au momentary switCh for 1000 lumpen mode.
I’ll keep the Wedge
most people don't want a million lumin settings, and I am damn sure buying American before anything else
That Olight is more of a forest green than a Flat Dark Earth.
I have Olight and Streamlight weapon lights and I have to say the Olight really copied the Wedge which is a turn off to me.

Biggest fail by olight in a long time. Could have been great.

The two hold ups for me with the wedge is no low mode and the price at 80+ is harsh
Proprietary chargers just kill it for me

The Olight is the better light but both are good
After 20 minutes of doing work that USB will be packed full of mud sand grime destroying the internal shit making it not able to be recharged.
My opinion olight knocked it out of park! I finally have a flashlight I actually carry everyday! It is my true edc! Wedge was always too long in pocket! It's usefulness sells me!

Tail switch would be nice.
Fantastic review

I think the wedge is the winner! Always been a streamlight fan! I have 4 Pro tacs 2 TLR1 HL's and a small 115 lum pocket light. Love them all!
Nice review!
