Hey guys…in today’s video, I review my new Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport 2 that is chambered in 5.56, and walk you through the unboxing, what I think of it, some quick nomenclature highlights, and finally take it out on the range to see what she will cycle through or not. Let me know in the comments down below if you have one, thinking about getting one, or general questions you might have. As always, like and subscribe…and THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Here is a link to the Optic (red/green dot I have) I’m “sporting” on the gun…

  1. Hey, great video, thanks for posting. You didn't add the link or give more info regarding the optical unit you have in the gun there, so did you end up keeping that one, or now running the Pinty you got from Amazon? I like the looks of this one better, but was wondering what you thought?

  2. Just picked thus up yesterday, was going to buy a used no name AR from a pawn shop, but decided that if a Civil War pops off I want my gun to work. Paid 849.00 for it. Hitting range soon, have no doubt it will be fine.

  3. I've been seeing high end ar 15 having malfunctions and being picky with ammo. Not good, $2000 ar and not working properly. Embarrassing. Smith and wesson ar 15 simple. Effective and reliable. Goes bang every time

  4. Great video! I bought myself one the week of Christmas last year! Just ordered some magpul furniture yesterday! cannot wait to get mine all set up! Stock up on mags and ammunition! again Great video God bless!

  5. I have had my Sport 2 for about 2 years and it is one of my favorite AR's to shoot just because I kept her light as I could. BCM Gunfighter Stock and Grip, Trijicon MRO Red Dot, MagPul Forearm and a cut down BCM Gunfighter Forward Grip. I put a Viking Tactics Sling on her and a 650 Lumen Streamlight Weapons Light.

I have a few other AR's but I grab my little S&W 9 times out of 10 when we go shooting.

Awesome Video and hope you get many many years of enjoyment and fun (shooting is always fun 😁) out of your Sport 2

  6. Got mine for 658 about 2 weeks ago. Already upgraded to a ctr buttstock, enhanced rubber buttpad, moe grip, and picked up three extra M2 mags .. the stock buttstock is pretty crappy, and the A2 grip it came with I'm not a fan of. Put 90 rds through mine a few days ago, mostly nato 5.56, it's pretty rowdy

  7. Very cool video! I got mine for $650 a year ago, optics ready with no A2 sight on it. Put on a CTR stock, pistol grip, vertical grip, Holosun 510c green dot optic, flip up backup sights, and just did a Midwest Industries Gen4 Mlok free float handguard on it as well.

It's a great value rifle that let's you make it your own, indeed.
