You should also show how to stop and AK by impeding the charging handle. The shooter of an AK can stop it with mere thumb pressure (including while the dust cover and recoil spring are removed, then manually cycle the rifle for a fun bolt-action AK experience!), so an enemy can stop the reciprocation as well. Also, show how to do this against auto-loading pistols, and that it's quite easy to grab the cylinder of a revolver and stop it from turning (won't help if the hammer has already been cocked, but will stop a double-action trigger pull)

This is great if you have the opportunity to get close but how often do active shooters start shooting from 5-10 feet away? I'm not saying I'm any kind of expert, but common sense would tell a person with a ranged weapon to stay at range.
I'm going to do this to every AR15 owner I meet, regardless if they have their rifle with them or not.
Punch AR15 owners in the face until no owners are left. New rule.

One time, AR bullet shells fell into my shoe while I was shooting. It hurt and I panicked. Luckily, my socks were in between the shell and my skin. I shook my foot and it fell out. Hurt really bad while it was in there but I didn't get hurt.

Just remember if the perp is somewhat trained they will muzzle thump you or butt-stock you… that rifle even though is not chambered and has a feeding malfunction is still a blunt weapon. I agree with him a 100% if the time is right. IMO you should free the rifle as much as you can while deflecting the muzzle… Great Video though!
