Many people will see this and say, ” Oh, it’s just a money grab!”
In many ways, it is, but it’s also a coordinated attack on the 2nd Amendment.
This lawsuit doesn’t hurt any of the government agencies listed because they’ll use your tax dollars to do it if they do have to pay anything.
However, when it comes to suing the company that made the gun that the Uvalde shooter used, what else is it other than a way to destroy the company financially?
No one finds it suspicious that a firm out of California is filing a class action suit based on a shooting in Texas.
Clearly, their argument is a massive reach, but it doesn’t matter because the goal isn’t to win the case; it’s to get them to spend a ton of money fighting a bunch of these stupid cases or simply settling, and it works.
When this lawsuit is filed, it will initially be stopped by the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, but they’ll argue that Daniel Defenses’ marketing made the shooter do what he did.
It’s a dumb argument, but it works to get around the federal law that says you can’t just sue a gun company simply because their gun was used.

Calling it a money grab is kinda disrespectful to the families that lost their children. However,I do think they are hitting guns manufacturers where it hurts. I'm all for guns, but something has to be done. We sit here arguing, basically waiting for the next tragedy. Guns are like a virus now. Here to stay like it or not.

We don't sue auto companies for all the alcohol related deaths "their cars caused" <— it's just a tool, the person using the tool is responsible, go after him, and leave the rest of us alone, or we may take notice of you and come after you at the polls…take a look at the concealed carry/constitutional carry legislation that passed over the last 20 years…we are winning this battle for the Constitutional freedom of America.

Court should throw it out. Attorney should be disbarred.
And yet, we have commercials that start with "If you are a loved one … " It's usually related to a drug approved by the FDA later to be found to cause harm. For big pharma, it's just the cost of doing business. In the meantime, your loved one is dead or seriously harmed. Guns are a problem? Don't think so.

If this is allowed then parents that lost kids or loved ones to drunk drivers should sue the beer and alcohol companies
I am sick of this, It is a horrible tragedy that took place, senseless. But I promise if me or any family or friends get into a wreck with a DUI driver, we going to sue what ever car manufacturer that hits us and the manufacturer of the one we are driving for not keeping us safe from injury. and for selling the DUI drive the car that hit us.

This is like suing Chevrolet because the drunk driver that hit you was driving a Camaro.
