Madison County AR-15s

North Carolina’s Madison County School District has put an AR-15 in a safe in every school in the county so the guns can be accessed for classroom defense in case of attack.

Madison County Sheriff Buddy Harwood pushed for the AR-15s following the attack, pointing out that he did not want evil people to be able to enter the school and hole up in a classroom with officers powerless to act.

Harwood said, “Hopefully, we’ll never need it, but I want my guys to be as prepared as prepared can be.”

“We were able to put an AR-15 rifle and safe in all of our schools in the county. We’ve also got breaching tools to go into those safes. We’ve got extra magazines with ammo in those safes,” Harwood explained.

“In the event we have someone barricaded in a door, we won’t have to wait on the fire department. We’ll have those tools to be able to breach that door if needed. I do not want to have to run back out to the car to grab an AR, because that’s time lost.”

  1. I think it's the best thing ever, the anti-gunners in this country are the ones that want to control us. By the way I'm a big fan and a big guy, let's get bigger sizes in your merch so I can give you money. I'm just saying we ain't all petite, so help a big brother out.

  2. This is like the exact oppostie extreme, mark my words this is just the 2a haters working its web of deceit. This is just as bad if not worse than the anti 2a people with their lame excuses.

  3. I am all for schools being armed and what not, but what happens when a teacher stops the intruder or shooter and the bullet goes through the bad guy and goes through the walls or doors and then hits another teacher or student? They would need to be very aware of what direction they are shooting in right? I see this becoming an issue.

  4. Colion unfortunately we live in an overly liberal minded society in our generation. The individuals that promote the ideology that you spoke of in this video; are going to have to lose a loved one to gun violence for them to wake up!!!! Keep promoting the true reality Brother!

  5. Better safe than sorry. Show an over abundance of caution. Isn’t that what liberals always say right before they take your freedoms.

Schools need security guards, people trained and focused on the possibly of a terrorist shooting. Let them do the job of protecting and use the AR-15’s. Train and prepare the teachers for an active shooter situation but their main focus should be teaching.

  6. If there is an active scumbag the leo won't have time to go to the office to retrieve it. This is handgn distance close with and destroy the tango. If a guy in a mall can do it so can a leo if he is a good shot.

  7. This is smart. As of right now our schools are targeted because they’re sitting ducks and an easy target. But who the hell gonna shoot up a school with 30 ars. It’ll make criminals think twice about doing so.

  8. I posed a solution somewhat similar to this back after Parkland where several of the FL Sheriff's and FDLE started the MSDHS Safety Commission. Sadly, I never got any sort of response to my proposition that effectively would have armed those teachers and/or staff with AR's who where willing to do any and all the required routine training but still should have been enough to appease those who didn't want teachers Armed (as in carrying while working). Sure, there would be those still who just flat out have the irrational fear as mentioned in this video but hey, you cant please everyone and all in all, I'd be willing to bet that my idea would have a very large support in favor of by those who would otherwise be opposed to "arming teachers".

  9. The most logical solution basically. No one has to see the AR-15, because it's locked in a safe. Since that's one of the arguments people bring up, how "scary" the big guns are around children.

  10. Of course the leftoids will have their panties in a wad over this. It honestly wouldn't hurt to keep an armed military vet who is technically and tactfully proficient with one on campus/school grounds either. The Uvalde shitshow was a joke after watching the entire video, pissed me off. The man is right, level the playing field when it comes to protecting our children.

  11. Not all school resource officers are the same… Mines was a cool dude, level headed, honorable man. Not all are the same… I'd rather a teacher (voted by past students & present students/ people who trusted them) who receives 75-150 hours of tactical training than a school resource officer.

  12. It’s about time to use common sense. You have to be armed equally or better than any school shooter. I believe schools should start requiring teachers to go through self defense shooting training. And any new teachers would have to accept that as a hiring condition. I wouldn’t force teachers to do it but I would push the ones who don’t out the door at the first opportunity. As a school board should put the safety of the kids first so should the teachers. They have no problem sexually exploiting them for gender reasons but not worried about their safety.

  13. These actors are not going to attack a hard target…they're going to the places where guns are not allowed…
Please allow me to carry a proper tool to protect my kids…

  14. as a former teacher. it would be extremely difficult to wield a weapon 100% of the school day. The second you put that gun down ( or if strapped it's still on their side) to help a student that gun is no longer the teacher's gun but that deranged student's gun. now you have given that student access to a gun that they may not have had access to. If the gun is locked up.. that makes even less sense. sorry sir wait till I go get that gun to defend myself. huh? So the teacher either carries the gun every second of the school day or non of the school day. where will the gun be stored in the in-between moments? a one-second lapse of being armed can spell doom. Or if they are currently armed and a student may say I want a free gun ill wait till that teacher's back is turned and take it. Teachers' jobs are incredibly dangerous already but to have to worry about a faulty discharge ( even if trained) mistakes happen. Teachers are already super stressed out as it is due to the high pressures of the job. A stray bullet kills an innocent student ( probably not, but you know that's what people who oppose this are going to say). Now you could have armed security in the few 100,000s schools. which would probably account for 3-4 per school at a minimum. Those 400,000 jobs that were just created will be paid for by our taxes. or if it's a private school a raise in tuition. Ultimately we are damned if we do and damned if we don't. Every time I think about arming everyone. I think about the scene from predator 2 in the subway where no one can tell who the bad guy is. bc everyone pulls their gun.
In real life, a person who arrives at the scene later will have to make a split-second judgment call and perhaps shoot the innocent person instead of the Perp. also, these teachers with guns will have to deal with tunnel vision, and for those of us who have never dealt with that, it can be a debilitating occurrence and even the most seasoned police officers and soldiers deal with this and have difficulty overcoming it and it takes years of practice in order to be able to deal with it.
Something needs to be done but not arming the teachers. unless they can be placed under some type of immunity from prosecution if an innocent is harmed in process of their protection of the students in their schools. A half a million armed guards aren't fiscally feasible either. Solutions?

  15. You can’t trust teachers with guns and you can’t these bad ass kids. These kids ain’t stupid, might look like it because they have no since. But teachers with guns is a bad idea. That’s going over broad. We (as a nation) gotta be reasonable.. we can’t band aborting. Don’t band guns from legal citizens. Only person that needs to be armed in a school is the school cop.

  16. I think it's a great idea you always get asked the question why wouldn't you give up your guns to protect the children my question is why wouldn't you pick one up to protect them
